When the mobile world meets the fashion world, an event like this one takes place. LG Canada partnered up with Carlie Wong to launch three new phones at the L’Oreal Fashion Week show. Did you happen to see any of this fashion show?

Carlie Wong said:

My Spring/Summer 2009 collection is all about bringing quality construction, attention to detail and luxurious pieces to the fashion world, which is exactly what LG is bringing to technology.I want the women who wear my clothes to feel feminine, yet empowered and unstoppable. She’s the Glamorous Gangster and an LG cell phone is her hottest accessory.

The three phones aren’t exactly new. They are the LG Dare, the LG Reveal and the LG Voyager but they are coming to Canada too. The phones will be available from Bell and Telus in the following months so check back with the carriers for pricing and arrival dates.

Gone were the days when USB flash drives only supported one or two gigabytes of memory, in nowadays it is more common to see big guns standing out. That seems to be the case with Corsair and their latest Voyager release, that has 64GB of capacity.

Do the maths and imagine how many movies or songs you can have in the palm of your hand, which is a lot. It can even be used as a back-up solution to store the most important files.

As expected, the Flash Voyager features the bootable function that gives the option for users to easily start up specific programs and operative systems. Another good detail is being rugged and resistant to water.

Plantronics announced a new Bluetooth headset in its Voyager series. The new Plantronics Voyager 855 is a unique mono-to-stereo convertible Bluetooth headset featuring AudioIQ DSP, a noise reduction technology. The Voyager 855 is targeted at Bluetooth mobile phones and offers a convertible design thanks to its detachable stereo cable. This lets you use the voyager either for entertainment in stereo mode or communication in mono mode.

The Voyager 855 also comes with form-fitting earbuds for comfortable, all-day wearing. With its sound-isolating earbuds, you can concentrate on your calls or music without worrying about ambient noise disrupting your experience. Furthermore, in stereo mode, the headset’s AVRCP (remote control) Bluetooth profile gets enabled as well, letting you control your audio playback.

Switching between calls and music is easy with Plantronics’ stereo multipoint technology. AudioIQ is the company’s proprietary adaptive DSP technology that automatically adjusts audio levels to increase clarity.

Priced at US $149.95, the Plantronics Voyager 855 will be available in October 2007.
