AT&T has just announced their intentions to launch a whole slew of new features on November 8th. The first is an all new voicemail-to-text service which will, of course, change your voicemails into text messages making it easier for you to catch that number or name.
Second of all AT&T is planning to launch their Nation with Canada plans which will allow you customers to make calls between Canada and the US with no long distance charges.
And last but not least they will be launching 3 new channels for their Mobile TV service which we have little to no details about. Luckily, they will be dropping the base cost of the service from $15 to $9.99 and the unlimited service from $30 to $24.99.

Privus continues its expansion as far as making its Caller ID software compatible with most mobile devices as it announces the compatibility of their service to telecom giant Nokia. Earlier this month, Privus Mobile had announced the same software for the Android phone.
Bringing the similar intent it had in providing Caller ID options for mobile devices, Nokia mobile phone owners will now be able to screen and have the option on whether to accept or reject incoming calls. Apparently this is a form of protection for mobile owners, avoiding the unnecessary calls that may be worthless or perhaps be unknown to them.
“With Privus Mobile, Nokia smartphone customers and those using Symbian OS devices now have the power to know who’s calling without having to answer the phone, check voicemail or call the person back. The average cell phone user is deprived of unknown caller’s names. It’s time they knew who’s on the other end of the line. It’s time they knew Privus Mobile.”

Tired of your usual, ordinary, hard-to-manage, and boring voicemail? Pinger introduces its customizable service which makes it easy to handle voicemails.
“Voicemail is something everyone tolerates but no one loves,” said Greg Woock, Pinger CEO. “One of the big frustrations with traditional voicemail is users’ inability to immediately respond to messages without hanging up and having to make a call. Pinger solves this problem while also bringing personalization, simplicity and a great web interface to mobile phone voicemail.”
With Pinger voicemail service, you have the option to record personalized greetings to each and every one of your family and friends, receive a visual representation of your voice mail as an envelope showing the caller’s identity, manage your account and reply to the voicemail from the internet, reply and forward voice mails directly from the voicemail itself, and you can store these voicemails for good.
Pinger voicemail service is available in the US for Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T subscribers. It’s free, although your carriers might charge for forwarding and answering voicemails. For more info, visit the Pinger web site, or sign-up by calling 408-916-5008.

SpinVox has recently announced a new feature that will allow users who subscribe to their service, which is another $15 on top of your monthly phone bill, to get their voice mails automatically converted into a text message and sent directly to the phone that said voice mail was left on, even including the callers number. This new feature will virtually eliminate the need to ever listen to voice mails numerous times because whatever information you need will be right there waiting for you in a text message.
While it’s anyones guess as to how SpinVox plans to accomplish this extremely useful new feature, does it really matter?
