Virgin Media might hold the keys to the future of the Internet. The company is testing 200Mbps speeds which include full HD and 3D broadband content. What will the new modems look like and when should we expect them to be released? Unfortunately for the next six months this DOCSIS 3.0 project will be tested only around Ashford, Kent by around 100 “lead adopters”. Anyone close to that location? We won’t mind should you keep us posted on the whole 200Mbps testing.

Interested in broadband mobile internet? Well if in the UK for a longer period of time then you might be interested in the cheapest broadband internet offer available so far in the UK.
Starting with Monday November 3, Virgin Media will launch that cheapest mobile broadband package I was talking about. That means Virgin Media broadband customers can pick up the new 1GB USB modem for just £5 per month. The price is available for the XL and L cable broadband packages or for the ADSL “Bundle 1″.
Other plans are also available. The M cable broadband or the ADSL “Bundle 2″ customers will get broadband for £10 per month and the Virgin Media 1GB USB modem will have a one-off cost of £25.
The bundled packages are going to be available for a 12 month contract and it will include the 1GB data allowance, as you might have already guessed. Interested?
