All The Latest Cell Phone and Mobile Electronics News

Well here’s a weird video review of a cell phone! And I am not talking about the English-Polish language nor about the running water in the background. We’ve seen better and we’ve seen worse. I am talking about the phone itself. The Sony Ericsson Paris has been canceled as far as everyone knows. So question is, how did it get to Poland? The videos have been uploaded to YouTube these days so this gets even weirder.
The Paris should be only a prototype and probably this Polish guy had to give it up after he played with it. Or did it happen to fall of a truck? Will we get the Paris eventually? Well who’s to say we aren’t?

Well this is an out of the ordinary test. While waiting for a plane why not get your iPhone and Storm out of your bag and start a head to head… thing! Let the fight begin! This is probably the best way to compare them anyway, so take a close look and decide for yourself what suits you best, because the latest Blackberry will be launched on the market tomorrow! If Verizon is up to it!

FunMobility today launched a new service for Verizon Wireless, more specifically America’s Best Mobile Flix, also known as aFLIX. This is the first mobile social network and video sharing service for Verizon customers.
Thanks to the video cameras that most mobile phones have, users can upload & share their own content and upload it online to the desired category, be it comedy, crazy pets, kids, or others. Like it happens in any other social network, users are able to create their own profile and interact with others by commenting, rating, and reviewing videos. Obviously, all these tasks can be done directly on a cellphone.
FunMobility already has aPix which is a photo sharing service, so I guess they are complete with the video service aFLIX, that can be downloaded and costs $5 per subscription.

The HTC Max 4G we’ve shown you earlier this week will make its way to WiMAX ready networks, like the Russian Yota. The video above will give you a preview of what the Max 4G is all about but it’s the language you won’t understand. The comparison between the iPhone and the Max 4G should be pretty clear right? At least we get to see it on video as we won’t see it live soon in our non-WiMAX network.

Howcast Media is a popular provider of how-to videos that are available online, but they want to make a transaction to the cellphone market and therefore decided to create an iPhone Application. In case you’re wondering the app is already available for free at the iTunes App Store. According to Howcast, this is the first application dedicated to the iPhone that is able to gather a big amount of how-to videos, and it includes an important feature - good search functionality to make life easier to users. In order to promote the Howcast.com, there is a quick link feature that is connected to the latest added videos on the website.

What’s the hottest thing in town? Anyone? Anyone? I know you know what it is, you just won’t admit to it, because we all have a certain iPhone 3G related nostalgia… But here’s the truth, Blackberry Storm is going to crush all competition! Well not all of the competition, but some of it.
It is a full-touch device, so, obviously, its whole functionality spins around its touchscreen display. One of the hottest thing about it, is the landscape QWERTY keyboard, which allows you to basically, use both hands while browsing, texting or emailing, which definitely makes life complete while being on the run. And the copy paste thing. Should I say more? It’s kinda like what the iPhone does but maybe better. In the mean time we have more videos for you to enjoy with Vodafone Berries in action.

You must remember the “Wassup” commercials which Budweiser used quite a lot. We’ve seen various spin offs and now we have an election “Wassup 2008″ video. And there aren’t any cool phones in this version right here. It would be really weird to see one, as the commercial talks about unemployment, health care, the war, the environment and the current financial crisis which basically affects all the previous issues. Wassup 2008 talks about change and it hints at presidential candidate Obama. Who will Americans vote for? How will that influence the mobile industry?

And no prizes for guessing to what other touchscreen device Gray Krakow of the The Street compares it to at the beginning of the video. The BlackBerry Storm seems to be pretty impressive and pointed out is its ability to duplicate a “real hardware feel,” a good display, and its remarkable web abilities. Add GPS, WiFi, and anywhere roaming and you get a great touchscreen smartphone with the best of BlackBerry’s business features. Still, no word on pricing or availability from Verizon or RIM but we’ll tell ya when we know.

For those of you eagerly waiting for the PSP 3000 (as I am), then you might be interested on this video by Cnet. Its a first-hand look on the new device (an upgrade for the PSP 2000) by Sony.
For those of you who didn’t know, the PSP is getting another minor makeover: the PSP 3000 gets an improved screen for better color reproduction and - possibly - less glare, a built-in microphone to increase the usability of its onboard Skype functionality, and better video output support. You can now, even play games on non-HDTV hookups.
Here’s the video via Cnet:

We really didn’t need visual confirmation of this touchscreen monster’s prowess, but it’s always a treat watch tech marvels like these on tape and especially try to decipher a foreign language in the process. Not surprisingly, these French guys are comparing the Touch HD to the ever-popular iPhone 3G and the Samsung i900. Any bets on which kicks ass the most?

We’ve already seen Bill Gates and Jerry Seinfeld in action in the first Microsoft clip from the new campaign. It was short, to the point, whatever it was, and mildly funny. You could have interpreted it in so many ways. There might have been several hints of Apple’s products and Steve Jobs but nothing was exactly clear.
And now we have the second add. It’s a longer clip, mostly boring, and not that funny. It’s like mixing a old Seinfeld show, which was about nothing with Vista. Glitches will appear. Like the last time, Gates suggests big things to follow, and like the last time there are lots of abnormalities in this video which could be attributed both to Apple or Microsoft. Or are we too paranoid to attempt such comparisons.
What did you think about these four long minutes? Any lols? Anyone? I am sure more will follow, so get ready!

A picture is worth one thousand words or more, depending on your imagination and your average WPM. A video is even better so in case you don’t exactly like reading events minute by minute on our earlier live coverage of the “Let’s Rock” event, Apple has it on their official site. Go on and watch it!
My favorite slide of this presentation is the one in which Steve Jobs mentions his health. Enjoy!

Remember the Archos 5 Internet Media Tablet which we covered a while ago? Well it’s now available and ready to ship. It has an 800 x 480 5 inch screen, 802.11b/g WiFi, the Opera Web browser with Flash 9 support, and support for most, if not all, audio and video codecs available.
Like we told you earlier it comes in three versions: 60GB for $350, 120GB for $400 and 250GB for $450. If you want to wait until December, a 3.5G HSDPA version will be available. Or are you waiting for the bigger Archos 7 MID to arrive?

CellPhoneSail was able to procure the official promotional video for the upcoming G705, which has been leaked before. The video brings nothing new to surface, mainly showcasing its sleek and glossy slider form factor and a feature that we already know, its built-in GPS. Still a cool video for an above-average handset. 10 points for someone who can name that song!

LG Invision is now available from AT&T. If you happen to watch a lot of videos on your cell phone than that’s a phone you might want to consider. The Invision is the third AT&T phone which will support Mobile TV, but it’s the smallest one out there. (more…)

I found the head! Which means there’s an angry body looking for it as we speak. This Terminator DVD player in the picture above should fit perfectly any modern living room. The metallic skull will play your favorite tunes or videos. After all we are constantly battling technology and machines while trying to chose the right pill. Why shouldn’t we use this victory trophy to play our DVD’s? (more…)

The T700 looked good in pictures and Sony Ericsson has a clip to prove it looks good on video too. SEMC Blog was able to get its grubby paws on a promotional clip for the long due T610 upgrade and from the video, the T700 sure looks poised to ride on its own wave of success like the T610. We know it doesn’t have any special powers like some of its other siblings but a 3.2 megapixel camera, a 2-inch display, Bluetooth, HSDPA support, and M2 expansion should sound better than what the T610 fans asked for. No pricing or availability information has been unearthed yet, but count on us to keep you in the loop!

Verizon Wireless Surprises Customer - Watch more free videos
Since it’s already Monday today, and we have a whole new week to talk about cell phones and other kinds of take-them-with-you devices, why not start with a smile. Remember the “Can you hear me now?” Verizon Wireless commercial campaigns? You must have seen at least a version. Oh you’re not watching TV in the US? Or you’re not in the USA for the time being?

I wonder how much time did pass between the moment Apple’s Steve Jobs announced the 3G iPhone and the moment a porn king realized how much money they will make in the iPorn iPhone business.
Fast 3G data will get you going. Lots of Internet browsing and live-streaming video watching will become regular iPhone chores. iRoticNet knows that and it’s no wonder they plan to create an adult video destination for 3G iPorn.

With all these 3G iPhone news flying around, you definitely deserve a break. This is the perfect video for that. It’s funny yet it teaches you something.
The 3G iPhone isn’t indestructible as Apple says. Sure you might not break it when you drop it from 6 feet, sure the screen won’t get scratched, but imagine dropping it into a blender?
