All The Latest Cell Phone, Gadget and Tech News

Travelers with mobile phones can now experience an easier way of making the most of the places they travel to with the launch of this website that carries multimedia tours to help orient individuals on great spots to check out. The interface towards the website can be made using smart phones, cell phones, PDAs, mobile video players, and desk/laptops. All of these were made possible by Virtual Travel Tours.

“VTT provides personal, multi-media travel guided tours that fit in the palm of your hand,” said Marie Profant, President and Founder of VTT. “Travelers will no longer need to pack heavy guidebooks. They can experience everything a destination has to offer from the comfort of their lightweight personal mobile device.”

Pricing Structure:

  • $15.95 for audio/video tours
  • $12.95 for the “Quiet Guide” version (text+photos) to scroll as you stroll
  • $19.95 for a disc of all audio/video formats

Oracom Portable Media Player

The A10 portable media player was officially introduced at the CeBIT 2009 and this little PMP is able to do just about all other devices of a similar nature can. Actually, most of the functions can be accessed via its touchscreen display.

Features and functions include a wide range of support for various audio and video formats, line-in/FM/voice recording, the ability to take down text and voice memos and an integrated FM radio chipset with 50 pre-set stations and pre-scheduled recording support.

No idea on when this will be released nor where and how much it will cost, but it looks pretty set to be another run-of-the-mill PMP.
