All The Latest Cell Phone, Gadget and Tech News

Ask around and you are sure to note that texting while driving is a prime reason for the growing number of car accidents we are hearing today. But thanks to innovation and the iPhone, an app has put its foot down on 25 million potential texting while driving incidents, something that mobile phone-crazy consumers are bound to laud. And the app that deserves that credit is the DriveSafe.ly app for the iPhone which incidentally comes free at the developer’s website.

The app reads messages and emails in real-time without any action on the part of the user. The latest version comes with an automated feature called the Speed Activated feature which turns on when driving and off when you exit your car. Check out the FAQ video demo below.

We have yet again another iPhone app pegged to aid clinical practitioners and doctors, especially with the growing problems surrounding Musculoskeletal Conditions. Considered as one of the factors that force patients to seek consultations today, the new app called Clinical ORthopedic Exam (CORE) helps in the diagnosis and medical decision-making based on evidence-supported principles. Features include the ability to read instructions prior to performing tests, video demos and a test properties section.

Here is a video demo of the CORE iPhone App:

And with this new iPhone app, all that should be adjusted accordingly as we will see in the video demo below.

So much for games and utilities, iPhones can be great aids as well when it comes to monitoring and systemizing your finances. Businessmen or employees who are required to submit expense reports normally have to fix up their receipts and make sure that they are itemized and ready for reimbursement. The Mobile Receipt app from Mitek Systems does just that and is perhaps one reason why it jumped all the way to number one at the App Store.

And while many deny it, one common practice is forging some receipts to so that they can reimburse a higher amount that what they had actually spent. Some get away with it while others get caught. Between the two, you would not want to be caught cheating your way for some extra cash.

But for the people who want an easy way to create and expense report, the Mobile Receipt app is the app for you. No wonder it made its way to the top! The app is available at the App Store for $4.99. You can view a video demo here. http://www.miteksystems.com/OOMPH_webisodes.asp
