Joost seems to be making waves today as far as being an iPhone app is concerned. And to help manage the ads coming out from this app, FreeWheel has lent a helping hand to make sure the video ads are displayed in the Joost iPhone ad properly.

Since its introduction last November, approximately 1.5 million iPhone and iPod Touch users have downloaded the free Joost app, which enables iPhone and iPod Touch users to enjoy thousands of hours of anime, comedy, drama, movies, music, documentaries, sci-fi and sports over their Wi-Fi connections. Users find videos through search, browsing genres, viewing what’s popular or choosing from an editorial selection of Joost’s picks. As a free, ad-supported application, the Joost app uses video ads, which are served into the shows via FreeWheel’s technology.

On mobile devices, as on the web, FreeWheel delivers the highest yielding ad creative based on semantic analysis while accounting for the revenue share whenever any creative unit is served. The company’s mobile ad-serving and management partnership with Joost will define new ways to monetize video content in mobile.

SlingPlayer Media for Blackberry

For people who love to watch streaming movies via their iPhone, you can now get your hands on the full version of the previously beta version of the SlingPlayer Media for Blackberry. Sling Media has announced that its SlingPlayer Mobile for Blackberry. Now available for $29.99 or part of a a 30-day free trial.

Previously only available as part of public BETA testing, the application can now ready for everyone. After downloading the application, users can add and edit Slingboxes then change channels directly through the mobile application. SlingPlayer Mobile allows users to watch video content streamed live from their home Slingbox digital video device.

Depending on your options or wants at the time, the application can be adjusted to optimize low-bandwidth streaming settings and adjust aspect ratio specific to their devices. Country selection on entry to the website (mobile.slingmedia.com) is requested where from that point, you can select the product you are after and download away.
