All The Latest Cell Phone, Gadget and Tech News

That is what we are led to believe looking at a picture that was posted on Samsung’s website. The header picture on the Korean manufacturer’s US website shows three cellphones which includes the R560 Messager sporting a MetroPCS logo. MetroPCS already sells the previous iteration of the same model, the R450 Messager, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if the latest version was picked by the same CDMA carrier too and the fact that this QWERTY-hauling handset is equipped with tri-band CDMA and EV-DO data support solidifies the fact that the R560 Messager will land in MetroPCS’ lap very soon. The R560 has already seen a Canadian release as the Samsung Vice on Bell Mobility and has escaped from the FCC’s clutches unscathed. We know that apart from the QWERTY keypad, it also crams in Bluetooth, a 2 megapixel camera, and that’s about it, pretty much what you can expect from a phone that is primarily going to be used as a messaging/mailing device. We’ll get you more as it emerges, so do come back!

Bell Mobility is going to launch a new messaging phone in Canada, the Vice from Samsung. Although it might look initially as a candybar handset, the Vice has a full QWERTY slide-out keyboard ready to offer you all the messaging you need.
We don’t have quite all the details yet but the phone is not a slider. It will probably let you do lots of stuff like going online and accessing various services but if you need a true smartphone you might have to look elsewhere for it.
The phone will probably come cheap too but we don’t have any release dates or actual prices. Considering that Bell will sell the Omnia from Samsung for only $129.95 with a 3-year contract we assume the Vice will be significantly more affordable.
