Technology has been known to perk up businesses and this time around, Vocera has unveiled its own batch of smartphones, aiming to assist medical professionals and staff in rendering efficient patient care and flexible mobile communication as well. The Vocera smartphone was jointly developed with Motorola, offering a one-touch voice-user interface running on the Mobile 6.1 operating systems.

With this new device, doctors and clinical personnel will be able to access business applications as well such as clinic system alerts, asset tracking and medical reference. It even allows them to communicate since it has corporate e-mail provisions as well.

Each day, iPhone and iPod Touch owners are regularly checking the hot performing apps at the iTunes app store. And if you checked, the latest app in the “What’s Hot” section is the Navy Patrol: Coastal Defense app which is available on an extended special sale at $0.99. The app incorporates RPG and RTS elements via water-based environment. The game is from ICS Mobile which also announced that there will be a major update of the full version.

The new update will introduce a revamped and more intuitive user interface, backward compatibility with all older SDKs and a new “Attack Sub Turret”. The third of fifteen chapter updates entitled “Air Force Supremacy” is currently in production and should be available for download within a couple of weeks.

Samsung and T-Mobile USA have announced the upcoming availability of the Samsung Behold II, a mobile phone that runs on the Android platform. The phone carries the same touchscreen features most phones provide today using Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface for widget customization and T-Mobile’s high speed 3G network. Other features of the Samsung Behold II include a 5 megapixel camera, visual voicemail, an MP3 player, GPS, Bluetooth and 16GB of internal memory.

    Samsung Star S5230 Limited Edition

    A lot of phone geeks (especially the women who love the color Pink) would love to be in Belgium these days. Apparently Samsung is set to unveil a limited edition Samsung Star S5230 which will be known there as the Samsung Star Think Pink. And as you would guess, the color of the phone is what makes it a limited edition, something you may not see in the market today.

    The pink color is in support for Think Pink Belgium. For every phone purchase of this limited edition Samsung Star Think Pink handset, 10 EUROS will be donated to them. But if you are wondering about the features, don’t get your hopes up.
