Verizon has announced a new data USB stick, the USB1000 which promises to bring you global data to your laptop. What does that mean exactly? Well the USB1000 relies on EV-DO Rev. A for getting you online while you’re in the USA and triband HSPA for delivering the same speedy Internet connection for when you’re outside of the country. The new toy costs $149.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a contract. What’s more important is the contract itself here. Verizon will offer you 5GB of traffic of traffic in the USA and Canada and 100/200MB of roaming data. What’s the price? $129.99 to $219.99 per month depending on what you choose!
