All The Latest Cell Phone, Gadget and Tech News

The Barrage of Samsung cellphones that are revealed every other day hasn’t stopped and we now hear of two more handsets that are headed directly to US Cellular’s camp, the Trill and Caliber.  Of the two, the r850 Caliber fares a little above average raking in a 3.2-inc WQVGA display, a 3-megapixel shooter with video recording, TouchWiz UI, and an HTML browser, which makes a strongly equipped mid-ranger.  The r520 Trill on the other hand favors music-oriented features and a slider form factor with Bang&Olufsen’s ICEpower signal processing, 1GB of onboard memory aided by 32GB microSD expansion.  We don’t have the info on a release date or pricing yet, but keeping coming back and we’ll let you know.

    US Cellular Offers Free Batteries

US Cellular is currently offering a new battery swap program under which you could replace your old batter for a brand new one. That’s a free battery of course.

The Battery Swap program is launching tomorrow and you will be able to walk into any US Cellular store and “change out a dead or dying battery for a fully-charged one, for free.” The only downsize is that you’ll need to own a phone you purchased within the last 18 months. Let us know if anyone qualifies for that…

    LG Rhythm at U.S. Cellular

While the LG Rhythm was recently launched by Alltel, it doesn’t mean other mobile carriers can’t do the same. With that being said, the Rhythm is now available at U.S. Cellular.

In terms of prices, the LG Rhythm at U.S. Cellular only costs $80 after rebate and picking a 1-year or 2-year contract. As for the features, this LG phone is considered a music handset so it comes with a 3.5mm headset jack, a graphic equalizer, and FM radio. On top of these music features, it has GPS, bluetooth 2.0, and a slot for microSD memory cards of 16GB.
