LG Tritan users can enjoy 3 mega-pixel camera, a 3” full touch-screen, and 3G network speed in one smooth wireless handset. The LG Tritan is ideal for customers wanting the flexibility of an innovative touch-screen interface combined with a full QWERTY keyboard. The 3” touch-screen has a full internet browser and easy-to-dial virtual keypad with voice recognition plus voice-activated dialing. Configured as a side slide QWERTY, LG Tritan fits nicely in the palm of the hand, allowing customers to utilize the handset’s picture, text, and video messaging capacities. The integrated 3 MP camera provides sharp images with the auto-focus and zoom lens.

“LG Tritan by Alltel is a great phone to keep customers connected to their friends and family while delivering features like the camera just in time for summer vacations,” said Wendy Michell, director of device strategies for Alltel Wireless. “Running on Alltel’s advanced 3G network, LG Tritan creates a trifecta experience for our wireless users – an experience that is full of entertainment, communication and a whole lot of fun.”

“The range of LG Tritan is remarkable,” said Ehtisham Rabbani, vice president of product strategy and marketing for LG Mobile Phones. “LG and Alltel designed the perfect balance of hardware and software in this handset including the 3” touch screen and 3G network speed. It’s a true tribute to our consumers.”

Alltell and LG are proud to announce the LG iX840 Tritan, a handset that might actually garner some interest in the not-so-popular carrier.

As you can see above, the LG Tritan features a sleep design along with a sliding QWERTY keyboard. Couple this with the phone’s 3″ touch-screen, full internet browser and 3G connectivity, a 3MP camera with auto-focus and optical zoom and you have yourself a very very nice device.

Alltel says that they will offer the Tritan for $99.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate. Any takers?
