  • Well don’t act so surprised no, the phone in the picture here looks like the Tour because that’s exactly what it is. Although RIM likes to call it the Essex, we’ll think about it as a pimped our Tour touting WiFi support. And yes, the trackball has been replaced with a new trackpad but other than that it’s the same Tour. We have no idea when the Essex is going to be available but we’ll keep you posted!

For some reason RIM has decided not to include WiFi support in its recently launched BlackBerry Tour. And now we hear that RIM is doing everything in its power to add WiFi connectivity to the phone. Since the phone is getting a new feature, the Tour will be known as the Essex. So in case you’re feeling sorry for yourself for purchasing a WiFi-less Tour, then the Essex could be a nice replacement. There’s no word when the Essex will be available and what carrier will launch it. Should we simply assume it’s going to be a phone heading to Sprint since this carrier asked for WiFi on all its phones a short while ago?

If you haven’t purchased your BlackBerry Tour from Verizon or Sprint so far you can choose now to get yours from Alltel. Sure Alltel is owned by Verizon so technically picking Alltel is almost like picking Verizon as your Tour provider.

Alltel will sell the Tour for $199 with a 1-year contract and after a $100 mail-in rebate. You will also have to get a Smart Choice plan which starts at just $69.99 per month better think twice before going to an Alltel store.

Are you going to buy a Tour from Alltel or will you rather wait for that hot Storm 2 which will be available later?

Best Buy is going to get a bunch of new cell phones on August 23 and chances are you’ll find one attractive enough to take it home at the end of the day. While there are no prices available yet, the leaked document mentions quite a few hot phones:

    • Samsung Gravity 2 (berry) — T-Mobile
    • Samsung Solstice — AT&T
    • LG Xenon (red) — AT&T
    • Global AirCard (G2)
    • Samsung Rogue — Verizon
    • LG Chocolate Touch — Verizon
    • Samsung u450 Intensity — Verizon
    • Samsung Omnia 2 — Verizon
    • BlackBerry Tour

So what do you think? Which one is the right one for you? The Samsung Omnia 2? The new Chocolate Touch from LG? You have plenty of time to make up your mind!

Verizon has apparently decided to drop most smartphone prices down to only $99 when customers choose a new two-year agreement thus matching that AT&T $99 iPhone pricing. That means phones like the HTC Touch Pro, the BlackBerry Storm and many others will now be available for $99 with new contracts. The BlackBerry Tour and the Samsung Saga will still cost more than $99 and the upcoming Touch Pro2 and Storm 2 are definitely going to be a little more expensive too when Verizon will officially launch them. What $99 smartphone are you going to choose?

As you are well aware by now, the Tour has been launched by both Sprint and Verizon on the same day. And Verizon seems to be the moral winner of this direct duel. Not only didn’t Sprint make the Tour available for pre-order, but it also failed to please every customer that walked into a store looking for a new Berry.

Sprint didn’t have enough Tour units to go around and this didn’t go unnoticed. According to Sprint’s twitter account, the carrier has received two shipments from RIM which means that all those of you that couldn’t walk out a store with a Tour in your hand can now return to get it. Of course if you went to a Verizon store instead then you don’t really care about Sprint’s new Tour stock.

  • I’m sure you are already aware that Telus has decided to bring the BlackBerry Tour, the HTC Snap and the Touch Pro2 to its Canadians customers. I’m glad to tell you folks that the first smartphone has arrived. The Snap and the Touch Pro2 are a bit late but definitely still coming.

The Tour will cost you $229.99 with a 3-year contract or $599.99 if you decide to get it off contract. The HTC Snap and the Touch Pro2 are coming on July 15 and 21, respectively. We’ll be patiently waiting for officially official pricing details so stay tuned!

Just in case you forgot folks, today is the day when both Verizon and Sprint will offer you a BlackBerry Tour. The phone has been available for pre-order for Verizon customers while Sprint subscribers had to wait it out until today. Both carriers have the phone available for $199 with a new 2-year contract so it’s up to you to choose what carrier to buy it from. You should know though that you’ll pay $299.99 upfront in a Sprint store for the Tour which means you’ll have to wait a while for that $100 mail-in rebate to come through.

The BlackBerry Tour is, at this point, the hottest RIM smartphone around. While Sprint and Verizon are ready to start selling it in stores south of the border, Canadians can count on Bell to offer the device.

The Tour will apparently start selling in Canada tomorrow although we were expecting it to be available starting July 17. Bell will be selling the phone for $249.95 CAD with a regular 3-year contract or for $699.95 CAD without a contract. In case you badly want the Tour we advise you to wake up early in the morning tomorrow and head to the nearest Bell store hoping they have received the Tour. Otherwise you’ll have to wait 5 more days to get it! That’s right, there aren’t enough units so some Bell stores might not be able to sell any BlackBerry Tour tomorrow.

Have you decided where to purchase your BlackBerry Tour from? Will you get it from Verizon or Sprint? Or are you going to get it from Telus or Bell? What if you could buy it from Best Buy instead? Would you be interested?

Well good news Canadians! Best Buy Canada has the Tour on sale now. The Tour is available for $229 so you should definitely get it since it is $20 cheaper than what Telus is going to charge for it. We’ll be waiting now to see Best Buy sell the Tour for $20 less than Verizon’s or Sprint’s current price in the USA! Think that’s going to happen any time soon?

Telus has three hot phones coming in this July. Two are coming from HTC and you’re probably expecting them: the HTC Snap and the HTC Touch Pro2. The other one is RIM’s latest Berry, the BlackBerry Tour.

It would be interesting to see what Telus’ customers will choose between a new BlackBerry and a new HTC that looks like a BlackBerry. The Tour and the Snap will be launched on the same day, July 15 while the Touch Pro2 is coming only on July 21. The Tour will be available for $249.99 and the Snap for $29.99. The Touch Pro2 will cost $249.99 and these prices will only be available with new 3-year contracts. So what do you say folks? Which phone is it going to be your favorite?

The BlackBerry Tour is coming officially on July 12 from both Verizon Wireless and Sprint. But it’s only Verizon Wireless that’s currently offering the Tour for pre-order. Until yesterday pre-orders were opened only to new customers but it looks like Verizon has changed its mind and it lets everyone pre-order the Tour now. Current Verizon wireless clients can start ordering the Tour tomorrow and the phone will be shipped out starting with Monday, July 13.

Existing customers will be able to upgrade or purchase the BlackBerry Tour on this site very soon. Please check back with us tomorrow.

What say you Sprint customers? Would you like to be able to pre-order the Tour too?

A few days ago we heard that Sprint might launch the Tour only on July 20 which was 8 days too late compared to Verizon’s schedule for this BlackBerry. But now it appears that Sprint has done everything in its power to launch the latest BlackBerry on the very same day Big Red is also launching it. The Tour is coming from Sprint on July 12 too. The smartphone will be available for $199 after rebates and with a contract. So what will you choose folks? Sprint or Verizon?

Today is definitely a BlackBerry Tour day. The handset is already available for pre-order from Verizon Wireless in two versions, with or without a camera. And if you’re currently residing in Canada, you should know that the Tour is going to be available from Bell on July 17.

The phone will be available for $699.95 if you don’t want another 3-year contract or for $249.95 if you do want the new contract.

What would you choose between a BlackBerry Tour with a camera and one without a camera? What do you think your employer or your employees prefer? In order to please any type of future customer Verizon will sell two versions of the BlackBerry Tour. First we have the regular model that’s equipped with a camera, or you can choose to purchase the second version, a Tour that’s deprived of that camera.

The Tour is now available for pre-order from Verizon Wireless and you can get either one for the same price. You’ll end up paying $199.99 for any chosen model with a two year contract and after a $70 online discount.

Verizon Wireless is launching the BlackBerry Tour on July 12 and it seems that Sprint doesn’t want to trail behind Big Red. Sprint is now rumored to launch the BlackBerry Tour on July 20 which would be a full eight days after Verizon. Sprint has yet to confirm it but we can easily assume that July is the month to get a Tour. Whether it’s a Verizon BlackBerry Tour or a Sprint BlackBerry Tour, that’s up to you and your wallet!

It seems our buds over at Boy Genius Report have gotten their hands on a peice of Verizon Wireless promotional material that clearly states the BlackBerry Tour will hit the carrier on July 12th for $199.99 after a 2yr contract.

There’s really no telling if the advertisement if real or not as Verizon hasn’t released any official statement but it looks pretty legit to us.

Anywho, if you’re anticipating this phone mark July 12th on your calender just in case. Better safe than sorry, right?

The Tour is quite a hot BlackBerry right now. Besides the iPhone 3G S or the Pre, the Tour managed to grab quite some attention lately. Verzion and Sprint have almost launched it yesterday by making available to the public web pages dedicated to the Tour and now it’s time for Telus to make a move.

It’s not official yet but it looks like Telus is going to launch the Tour on July 15. The phone is rumored to sell for $249.99 with a 3-year contract. A 1GB microSD card will be included in the offer too. Will Telus sell the Tour before or after Verizon and Sprint start selling it?
