05 Sep 09 HTC Touch HD 2 to run on Android OS?
We already have a Touch2 and a Touch Pro2, it’s only logical for HTC to update its other high-end handset, the Touch HD. And what an update it is going to be, as the company has many significant changes planned for the new handset, dubbed the Touch HD 2 for now. According to RegisterHardware, the device will get a faster Qualcomm processor at 628MHz instead of the 528MHz that HTC usually employs in its flagship devices and surprisingly, ditching WinMobile 6.1 (and the upcoming 6.5) to go with Google’s Android. What may not change is the gorgeous 3.8 inch 480×800 pixel display and the usual suite of features that the Touch HD sported.
