BlackBerry owners will be happy to hear that RIM is interested to hire a “WebKit Developer.” That means the Canadian company is considering developing a totally new mobile browser. It’s actually not a secret anymore as RIM did purchase Torch Mobile a while ago, which happens to be the company that created the WebKit-based Iris browser. Apparently that’s not enough and RIM needs a more qualified WebKit developer to help out with the cause. A new browser for the BlackBerry OS will definitely be a blessing so if you happen to have the needed skills then go ahead and apply for the job! We’ve been waiting for a new mobile Internet browser for BlackBerry smartphones for too long now.

It was recently announced that RIM, the guys behind the entire lineup of BlackBerrys, has recently acquired Torch Mobile, a mobile software developer.
Before you ask why should you care make note that RIM’s buyout of Torch Mobile means a WebKit-based mobile web browser for the BlackBerry platform. If you aren’t aware what WebKit is, it’s an open-source web browser layout engine that allows mobile browsers to render web pages as they would appear on a normal computer.
In other words, BlackBerry owners will get their hands on an awesome, yet official, web browser at some point in the future.
