Everyone knows the hand signs to tell someone to call or make a call. We even see this used in sci-fi movies to make it look like they are actually making a call with no handset or device in hand. But now it seems we may see a lot of people flashing the same hand signals with two glowing rings on their thumb and the other on the pinky finger and are actually talking to someone.
The Color Rings are the latest Bluetooth headset concept which anyone would mistake for a new trend of fashion being worn today. Presumably, the ring worn on the pinky is the one that has the mic and the other on the thumb is the earphone. A built-in distance sensor notifies you when you are about to make or receive calls whenever you place your hand to your head. Quite neat and something that negates the usual looking techie carrying out all those peripherals that make you look like a geek from outer space!

Only in the military can you get to see new innovations as far as innovations are concerned. And that seems to be the case as iKey has released a rugged wearable keyboard with pointing device that military personnel can simply latch on to their arm.
Apparently this was done for extreme emergencies to which the military is always experiencing. The AK-39 has all the features you can see from a usual setup although we have seen this kind of a device in movies such as “Predator” and other known sci-fi movies. This device also comes with adjustable green LED backlighting and is night vision compatible.
Hence, while those were all getups and paraphernalia, this is the real thing. The AK-39 wearable keyboard also comes with a USB cable that is available in both left- and right-arm configurations. Its lightweight plastic case easily adheres onto a Velcro arm strap that is sized to fit over bulky combat clothing, and has a curved back for arm comfort. The strap is available in two styles: one that affixes directly over the forearm, and one that includes a thumb loop for added stability.

LG Electronics has unveiled a lot of great phones in the mobile market but the LG enV Touch should be the one to take the cake. For one, this smartphone carries a high-end feature. It has two 3-inch displays which support 1.6 million colors. The outer LCD uses touch-screen technology similar to other models under the LG brand, LG Dare and LG Versa.
And if that isn’t enough to impress you, there are other features that surely will. It also boasts of a 3.2 megapixel camera, a full HTML web browser and EV-DO reader. And then there is the QWERTY keyboard that makes thumb-typing easier compared to the ones that are hard to use, particularly for users with large fingers or thumbs.
Officially distributed by Verizon, the LG enV Touch is certainly one of the best phones to have under the LG brand. It retails for for $149.99 after a $70 rebate and a two-year service agreement.

Do you have constant pain in your thumbs? Are you an admitted Blackberry addict? You may have fallen victim to the trendiest new malady: Blackberry Thumb. Actually a form of repetitive motion injury that results in tendinitis in the soft tissue around the thumb joints, “Blackberry Thumb” is cropping up with ever greater frequency as an orthopaedic complaint. According to Alan Hedge, director of the human factors and ergonomics research group at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, “The thumb is not a very dexterous part of the hand. It is really designed as a stabilizer for pinch gripping with a finger.
That is why you only have two of them, not eight. It is the fingers that have dexterity, not the thumb.” The treatment is painful but simple: Lay off the thumb typing for a week or more then cut back on your Blackberry use to a sane level afterward. In severe cases, a physician can inject cortisone into the thumb joint for temporary relief, but over the long haul you’ll have to change your ways.
