All The Latest Cell Phone, Gadget and Tech News

You’ll probably recognize TAG Heuer as the makers of some popular (and expensive) luxury watches. Well, the Swiss company has recently strayed from their roots introducing the above pictured Bluetooth headset.

As you can see, the actual headset will ship with a USB docking station that bears resemblance to a fat USB thumb drive. Oh yeah, you can save 4GB of data on that fatty while charging your headset, now that’s innovation! Additionally, the headset itself will allow for 4 hours of talktime on a single charge.

There’s no word on pricing or availability but considering the brand, don’t expect this to be cheap.

  • Tag Heuer officially launched the website for its first luxury phone, the MERIDIIST. The global launch of the website precedes BASELWORLD, the World Watch and Jewellery Show that starts March 26th 2009 and during which the most recent MERIDIIST collections are to be presented as a preview.

Truly representing the performance of the MERIDIIST, the website highlights the sleek design and key features of this exceptional luxury phone through images and animated content intended to reflect the TAG Heuer universe of luxury, sports and masculinity.

The showcased MERIDIIST collection consists of seven models, all made of 316L stainless steel yet offering different kinds of keyboard finishing. A range of colors and materials (genuine calfskin leather, rubber and alligator skin) is available to customize the back of the phone and provides clients with the ultimate opportunity to design their phones according to their most luxurious tastes. Prices range from euro 3400 to euro 4500, although some diamond-finished models with prices starting at euro 8500 are already on the horizon.

  • Tag Heuer’s Meridiist Sells Out

We have talked about this luxury phone from Tag Heuer before. Not exactly an iPhone 3G or any other smartphone, the Meridiist has proved to be a sell out phone. Priced at 2,650 GBP or around $5,300, the Meridiist attracted quite a crowd at London’s Selfidges store.

Well I don’t know how many handsets they had to offer but the Meridiist seems to have made quite an impression. The cell phone will be available in other markets in the near future. Check your local Tag Heuer provider for arrival dates.

But would you get the Meridiist?
