A change of color and continent has made this T610 successor eligible for a place on O2’s cell phone lineup.  We know it was a long time ago when we told you about the T700 but let’s just say that it is a candy bar that sports quad-band GSM/HSDPA network support, a 240×320 QVGA display, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and IMAP/POP email capabilities, a 3.2 megapixel camera, and Stereo Bluetooth with some music playing capabilities, wrapped in a new attractive red and gold packing.

The Sony Ericsson T700 Rouge is available now in O2 stores across the UK and can also be bought online via O2’s website.

The Sony Ericsson T700 that was officially presented back in August, will receive a new color in the near future. Consider it a good gift for your mother, grandmother, girlfriend, or any other female friend, because the new version of the handset will be colored in pink.

It should have the same specifications as the version that was announced previously, with the only difference being the color. The expected release date is set for Q1 2009.

In case you want to refresh your memory about the T700 specs, here are some details:

- Memory Stick Micro card slot
- 2 inch TFT color display at 240 x 320 resolution

The T700 looked good in pictures and Sony Ericsson has a clip to prove it looks good on video too. SEMC Blog was able to get its grubby paws on a promotional clip for the long due T610 upgrade and from the video, the T700 sure looks poised to ride on its own wave of success like the T610. We know it doesn’t have any special powers like some of its other siblings but a 3.2 megapixel camera, a 2-inch display, Bluetooth, HSDPA support, and M2 expansion should sound better than what the T610 fans asked for. No pricing or availability information has been unearthed yet, but count on us to keep you in the loop!
