Rumors of the HTC Touch HD2 have been floating around for some time now but they have been more focused on the software side of things and not what we can expect to see under the hood.
Today, further rumors have surfaced that give us a look at the specs which are a 1Ghz Snapdragon processor, 7.2Mbps HSPA, a 4.3-inch WVGA touchscreen, FM radio, 5MP camera, Bluetooth 2.1, and a 3.5mm audio out jack.
Unfortunately, there aren’t any solid dates for when we will be seeing the HTC Touch HD2 but rumor has it we will be seeing the device hit T-Mobile UK at some point in the non-too-distant future.

T-Mobile USA has clearly announced that it has no plans to launch the HTC Hero in the USA. That doesn’t mean that T-Mobile UK will not bring HTC’s latest Android phone in the UK. In fact the UK carrier will launch the HTC Hero and it’s going to call it the G2 Touch. It’s not exactly clear what Hero will actually be available in the UK so we’re counting on T-Mobile UK to tell us more soon. Is it the keyboard version?
What we do know is that the G2 Touch will be available for free with a new 18-month contract as long as you’re willing to commit to a plan of at least $60 per month. What Hero will you choose? The one offered by T-Mobile UK or the one coming from Orange UK?

Timotheus Hoettges the CFO from Deutsche Telekom, the mothership of all T-Mobiles out there, said at a recent shareholder meeting that T-Mobile UK will have to merge with another carrier or else face the possibility of going under. That’s not exactly a nice prospect is it? Hoettges said that:”in our view consolidation is a means to take excess capabilities out of the market,” and that “nothing is unthinkable on our side.”
So what carrier will T-Mobile UK choose for its future merger? Is it going to be 3 which is ranked as the fifth UK carrier, or will it be one of the other important 3: O2, Orange and Vodafone?
