Here is an app worth getting. Particularly made for the people who love to create music, Retronyms presents the DopplerPad which virtually transform you iPhone or iPod Touch into a virtual keyboard or synthesizer to allow you to create your own tune/s with a simple touch and record interface.

Layer sounds indefinitely, adjust tempo and mix those beats as you wish. There are 37 seven instruments you can use to design melodies along with some bass, percussion and other sound effects as you deem necessary.

DopplerPad’s interface imitates the standard DJ setup of a mixer with turntables on either side, but replaces the turntables with music-producing touchpads. The app launches to the mixer, where the user can access the two touchpads, playback controls, a crossfader and a loop bank that stores up to 14 loops.

The DopperPad from Retronym is now available at the App store for $9.99. Check out the video.

The iPhone is Now a Syntehsizer

iPhones are known to be multi-functional ranging from gaming and delivering news. Some months ago it was even used as a remote control or a navigational tool. This time around, the iPhone can be used as an 8-bit synthesizer courtesy of Yudo. This totally brings an entirely new dimension towards the various uses of an iPhone outside that of the usual default features that iPhones have been known for.

Now, you can tinker around and create some tunes with your iPhone. Now that is something news that you can do with your iPhone. The said app will be launched at the Apple App Store by June.
