But if you’re decided to walk into an actual Verizon Wireless store and get your Droid from there then you should know that Big Red plans to open stores at 6AM on November 6. The hour is not confirmed yet but we expect Verizon to take all the measures necessary in order to accommodate as many customers as possible next Friday. So what do you say, are you ready for an early start?

And don’t forget, the Droid Eris will also be available on Friday. You’ll actually have to get this phone from a Verizon store since it’s not available for pre-order.

You know what else happens on October 22? Microsoft’s Windows 7 is going to be officially unveiled. Therefore it makes sense to see Microsoft interested in opening at least one store on that very same date. The Scottsdale Arizona Microsoft Store is apparently ready to open doors on Thursday at 10AM. Are you excited? What if we told you that Microsoft will offer you gift bags and concert tickets if you’re one on the first 1,000 people to go through those doors?

The concert in question will take place at 5PM and Ashley Tisdale is the pop artist chosen to celebrate the Grand Opening. Can you resist all that action?

You can always call it an innocent mistake, or if you like conspiracy theories, you can assume that Google has leaked Apple’s new Apple iMac, Mac mini and MacBook intentionally. What happened you ask? It looks like Google served some new AdSense ads in the Netherlands mentioning all these new gadgets.

Google’s AdSense has been delivering the following ads:

  • “Apple’s Newest MacBook. Thinner, lighter and faster! Free delivery. Order today”
  • “Apple’s New Mac mini. Faster and more affordable than ever. From only $723. Order immediately.”
  • “The Brane new iMac. Ultra Thin 20 & 24 inch models. From $1.063. Apple Store”

The links are pointing to a dead page of the local Apple Store which means this all looks pretty genuine. Let’s see how and if Apple will respond to this! What do you think?

Microsoft is getting ready to fully launch its stores. We already know how they will look like from an earlier leaked and confirmed presentation and we just heard who’s going to be working there too. It looks like Microsoft is ready to get some Apple Store managers to work for them and that’s not stopping there. Microsoft is ready to offer them more money and the Redmond-based giant is also encouraging them to bring all their former colleagues on board too. Does that mean that the Guru Bars will be mainly staffed by former Genius Bar employees? Would you trust a guy to sell you Microsoft products knowing that just the other day he was batting for the other team? No pun intended!

  • We have another robbery in which an Apple store is involved. This time the New Jersey store got hit and the robbers stayed just 31 seconds inside. What did they steal in 31 seconds? Well the 5 thieves exited the store with 23 MacBook Pros, 14 iPhones and 9 iPod touches. You can calculate for yourself the value of the goods stolen and you’ll see how impressive it is considering it only took them 31 seconds to boost everything. Let’s see if the police are going to figure this one out!

Remember that Microsoft store presentation that got leaked a little while ago? Well it looks like Microsoft has done the grown-up thing and confirmed that the slide-show was indeed true. That doesn’t necessarily mean that Microsoft’s store will look exactly like in those shots but at least we have a pretty good idea of what to expect from it. We’ll be bringing you the real store photos once the first store will be opened to customers this fall.

  • Microsoft Store Concept Leaked

The idea of a Microsoft Store it’s just a little bit strange, but hey it should be interesting to walk into one and check out their Genius bar. And today the whole Microsoft Store presentation has been leaked out for the general public. The Store will include a Genius-like “Answer Bar”, lots of Surface demos, various stage areas for Windows 7, Media Center, Windows Mobile, Project Natal and Project Pink. Microsoft will host various events centered on some of its hottest products and it will even let you organize your birthday party in Store. We’ll be keeping tabs on Microsoft’s Store development. Maybe they will change their mind now that everyone saw the concept presentation.

An employee of Apple’s Clarendon Store got shot on Friday and the shooter is still at large. In case you know anything about it there’s a $1,000 reward for you. All you have to do is to point the cops in the right direction. The Arlington County police have uploaded two videos of the shooter to YouTube. With those millions hits it receives every day, YouTube could be a great tool for the police. Someone must know something:

At approximately 10:15 a.m. on July 3, 2009, an unknown man rang the doorbell at the service entrance to the Apple Store in the 2700 block of Clarendon Boulevard. An employee walked to the back of the store to answer the door. A short time later, another employee heard a gunshot. The victim, a 26 year old female, was found suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the right shoulder. The suspect had already fled the area on foot. The victim was transported to an area hospital where she remains in serious but stable condition.

Anyone who has information about this shooting or the identity of the suspect is asked to call the Arlington County Police Department Tip Line at 703 228-4242 or Detective Alan Lowrey at 703 228-4199 or Detective Michael Austin at 703 228-4241. Det. Lowrey can also be reached via email at Alowrey@arlingtonva.us and Det. Austin can be reached at Mausti@arlingtonva.us.

Witnesses can also call Arlington County Crime Solvers at 866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers offers a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest. Callers to Crime Solvers do not have to give their names and do not need to testify in court.

  • I don’t know if it’s the economy or the fact that Apple has some really cool products available but it looks like people are even considering robbing Apple Stores. The Apple Store Clarendon in Arlington, Virginia, was robbed and the perpetrator shot and wounded one of the employees. Nobody died but I am sure some people got scared. The victim was shot in the shoulder and it will survive as the injuries occurred are not life-threatening. The robber hasn’t been caught yet and we can only assume he will try to rob various establishments in the future. Especially since we don’t have any idea of what was stolen. Did he get the money he was looking for? Was he looking for iPhones or Macs?

I don’t think Sprint had this in mind when saying it doesn’t want to encourage lines for the Pre. That means that you shouldn’t crash your car into a Sprint store for a Palm Pre if you don’t feel like waiting in line.

A phone store in Calumet Park has been crashed into with a car by an elderly woman. She was looking for the Pre and couldn’t wait anymore. The car went through the store but there were no injuries. The store was supposed to offer the Pre today and hopefully it did. I bet the lady hasn’t gotten hers yet!

This is really some weird news coming in here about the Palm Pre. It looks like there’s only one Sprint store in New York ready to sell the Pre starting with June 6.

Sprint has apparently marked the stores that will have the Pre by marking them open for “special hours” on June 5. Assuming that online list is accurate then New York, Chicago, LA and San Francisco will have just a store ready to sell the Pre which is really disturbing. Is it all a human error? Everyone is expecting Palm Pre shortages so we expect all Spring stores to have at least a few Pres to go around. We also expect these stores to be open on launch date. Or will we see the Palm Pre available only in selected Sprint stores at first?

Let’s hope that Sprint will handle this launch with class. Apple will be surely watching.

  • Apple has finally decided to offer the iPhone straight from its online store. That’s not such a big news since you are already able to purchase the phone online from AT&T’s store. However it must be noticed that Apple is really doing everything to get rid off the current iPhone 3G stock. June is getting closer and closer and Apple will surely want to sell new iPhones in the very near future.

It’s not every Sunday that you see Apple closing down the Store for maintenance. Well it did today so what are we to think about that? Is anything wrong? Is Apple preparing anything special? Are we going to be surprised anytime soon? It’s not like Apple to refresh its product line on a weekend but we could use some surprises in our life! Are we going to see those cheaper Macs emerge? We’ll be on the lookout for you.

  • The Android Market might have some great news for Android apps developers. It could start accepting paid apps this week. Is Android prepared to fight the all-too-famous Apple App Store? Will it have similar success? Will Android users embrace the new paid applications? Are paid applications better than free apps? We might get answers to some of these questions starting next week. And what a coincidence, the MWC should start soon. Is anyone from the Android department going to talk about the new applications in Spain?

In case you want to avoid those lines at Verizon Wireless stores, go online and check out the official page of the BlackBerry 9530 Storm. It’s available for the same $199.99 after mail-in rebate and with a contract. I’d be curious on that stock supply. Would we be better off ordering online or should we get a sleeping bag ready in front of a Verizon store? What was your experience when you purchased your Storm today?

AT&T has announced the opening of new store, but this time it won’t be just another number on a list. Also known as Experience Store and located in Connecticut, the purpose is to provide customers an easy & innovative way to shop.

The system used to have a better customer service is pretty simple: try it before you buy it. People will have access to a lot of different products, including video + Wi-Fi + broadband + many more. Taking in consideration this is their 4th store of this kind, it can be considered a success otherwise they wouldn’t build 1 more.

The Experience Stations at the new AT&T Store include:

    - Productivity Solutions
    - Entertainment and Style

  • Ohio Apple Store Out of Stock

An Apple Store in Ohio got robbed early yesterday morning. Robbers entered through a shattered window or door and started to load up Apple products in the trunk of a black Lexus. The police arrived almost on time but they only managed to get their car hit by the robber’s. Probably no one taught those officers to actually follow another car. Or maybe their engine stalled.

  • Vodafone Launched Vodafone Music

While T-Mobile wants to copy Apples’ App Store it appears that Vodafone wants to copy Apple’s iTunes thing.

And not only did Vodafone launch one music store but they have launched two. Just to make sure you have a selection of songs to chose from right? The first store, Omnifone’s MusicStation has been around for a while, but now Master Voda has something new: Vodafone Music.

  • It appears Apple is taking more and more steps to improve our iPhone buying experience. Apple stores will open at 8AM, two hours earlier than regular. They are also adding staff to diminish wait times. That’s all great Apple, but say I come in the store to ask about the new MacBook Touch. Can I do that from 8AM or would I be required to wait until after 10AM?
