All The Latest Cell Phone, Gadget and Tech News

How many times did you want to listen to music from your iPod nano or touch without actually having to use your headphones? That’s possible if you have a dock close by but what about when you’re on the go? A nice pair of ultraportable speakers would definitely come in handy. Luckily for us there’s a Korean company out that came up with a solution for this problem.

Green Power has launched two different sliding speaker models for both the iPod nano and the iPod touch. The 1.5W twin speakers offer stereo sound which is quite a nice alternative to headphones. The sliding speaker acts like a dock and it comes with an mini USB port which can be using for both charging and uploading new content your iPod. We have no details about pricing and arrival dates at this point so you’ll be left listening to music with your regular headphones while fantasizing about the dock.

Zeppelin iPod speaker

Bowers and Wilkins will soon launch new versions of the award winning Zeppelin iPod speaker later in the year. Assuring fresh “new media” models, a spokesman for the company said that a hi-fi specialist was working on a “baby” version of the speaker.

The good news for music fans is that a smaller version of the speaker is likely to mean a smaller price, something that many say has put them off in the past from becoming a Bowers & Wilkins follower. Unfortunately there is still no word on when they will be released or how much they will cost.

  • The speaker in the picture here is the Motorola T325. It’s not your average speaker as this one is cordless. That’s right the Motorola T325 is going to offer you either a selection of your finest music via Bluetooth, or some interesting conversations while driving. The T325 hasn’t been officially released yet but when it does come out, it will probably work with most Motorola phones that have Bluetooth with A2DP.

    Cy-Fi: Wireless Sports Speaker

Some people say it’s bad to use headphones when riding a bicycle, because accidents can happen when you can’t listen to anything else but loud music. That is when Cy-Fi joins the party to solve the problem, because it works as a wireless speaker. The device is available at Amazon for $200, and currently there is only one unit left.

As expected, Cy-Fi uses bluetooth to create a connection to an iPod or cellphone, and has a range of 30 feet. The battery is good enough to 6 hours on a single charge, which seems more than enough. The wireless speaker has controls located on the left/ride side to change tracks or volume.
