Samsung has been gaining ground in the recent weeks with its varied mobile handsets and it is only fitting to know that they will be topping all of these releases with their very own App Store. Samsung will be opening its own on-device application store for all its Samsung smartphones this coming September 14 in the United Kingdom, France and Italy. After this, over 30 other countries will also be having their own Samsung App Store. However, only the Omnia II and OmniaLITE handsets can access the app portal for the time being.
And similar to most online application sites, the Samsung App Store will also be offering various handset applications ranging from games, references, social networking and other solutions. Omnia users who want to access the site need to download a mobile client at samsungapps.com while the I8910 HD just have to update their software.

Google’s own Andy Rubin has confirmed at a T-Mobile and Google event that we’re going to have more Android OS updates in the near future. Donut is already in the works with the Eclair and the Flan coming out later. He didn’t mention any arrival dates and specific features but we do know that these new Android OS versions will be centered on social internetworking. That means your future Android phone will be able to integrate Facebook updates when receiving incoming calls from some of your contacts. You’ll be able to see the current pictures and latest updates of that person in the contact list that’s currently calling. And hopefully we’re going to have even more social networking services integrated with the new OS.
We’ll be waiting for Google to further detail all these new internetworking features and dazzle us with even more new interesting additions. In the mean time we’re expecting more Android phones to arrive this year, as that earlier estimate of at least 20 phones this year has been confirmed again by Andy Rubin.

People who purchase the new Samsung Exclaim may be surprised to note that they will get something extra as Scanbuy has added its ScanLife 2D barcode app, making the Samsung Exclaim the first mobile device to be shipped with ScanLife technology in the U.S.
ScanLife allows users to scan 2D (two-dimensional) barcodes with a standard camera phone to automatically display a specific mobile Web site, launch a video, and more. A user can then view and share that information through social networking communities; Samsung Exclaim will also feature social networking applications such as Facebook and MySpace.
“This is an enormous milestone for the development and adoption of mobile barcode technology in the United States,” said Jonathan Bulkeley, chief executive officer of Scanbuy. “The demand for this technology by users and publishers has been growing rapidly, and placing the ScanLife application into new phones will make the experience easier than ever.”

Get the records straight. iPorn and the controversial “The Hottest Girls” app are two different applications. This was the explanation that iPorn developers wanted to make straight. Some people have misconceived the two, assuming that the app was one and the same. iPorn is still on the web despite the Apple announcement that they are banning adult content from the app store.
“It was widely reported that Apple stated that the developers of ‘The Hottest Girls’ iPhone application added x-rated content directly from their server after the application had been approved and distributed through the iTunes App Store,” stated a representative of iPorn. “In contrast, the makers of the iPorn web application never sought to deceive Apple. Instead iPorn was developed as a web application that can be obtained by users over the age of 18 through their iPhone web browser for free without having to purchase it through Apple’s iTunes App store and bypasses Apple’s ability to censor content from the iPhone.”
So in summary, iPorn is more of an entertainment sate with a saner intent over the pornographic nature that The Hottest Girls carried. iPorn provides its adult users with social networking capabilities similar to those found in YouTube, MySpace and Facebook.

Express yourself through sound. For most social networking members, a certain tune would be more than able to sum up their personality and how they want to be known. With most people carrying a Twitter or Facebook account, here is something you can add to your account.
The app is the SongFeed for iPhones. Share what you are listening to and see how people would react. Music is something most of us love and share and at times, you just never know which tunes are worth listening to at the moment. Now, rather than ask, you can simply share and let your friends and network know what you are listening to.
To Download SongFeed, simply go to The SongFeed Download Page.
Play a song, and the application picks up on the song that is playing, as well as the songs album and artist. If the user likes the song, all they have to do is hit a single “Tweet This Song” button, and their message is sent out to potentially hundreds of people who will know the song they’re listening to.
