While many people are talking about the App Store hitting one billion downloads, Slacker Radio reports that it has surpassed the 1 million download mark for the BlackBerry Smartphones as well. BlackBerry enthusiasts cite many reasons for choosing Slacker, including a music library with four times as many songs and the high-fidelity audio on Slacker vs. the inferior mono audio of a leading competitor.

In addition, Slacker offers the only Personal Radio application that enables listeners to store their favorite stations on their memory card so they can listen whether they are connected to a wireless network or not.
