Boggle for iPhone and iPod Touch

Boggle is touted among the original word games that people loved to play with friends and the family. Now, like most known board games gone digital, Boggle for the iPhone or iPod Touch is now available thanks to Electronic Arts.

With the growing demand and interest for word games for the iPhone and the iPod Touch, the arrival of Boggle should be something that could blow sky high. It comes with the same 16 six sided cubes with imprinted letters which are stored on a tray (4×4 grid). You can locate words horizontally, vertically or diagonally with a given time in the usual sand-filled hour glass set at 3 minutes.

The app is now available at the iTunes app store for $3.

Sky has always aspired to give that something extra to its customers and with the new Qbric (model: IM-R470S), it is DivX support and DVD-quality video playback.  We are sure that with its 3.2-inch wide VGA 800×480 touchscreen display, watching videos must be a great experience complemented with TruEmotion UI, which is said to be “simple, intuitive, and dynamic” with 3D transitions.  Available in white and red hues, the Qbric also offers 3G support, a GPS navigation, a 3-megapixel autofocus camera, Bluetooth, and a microSD slot which supports up to 4GB.  As with most things Sky, the Qbric will most probably stay in South Korea when it is released next week at an undisclosed price.

  • SciPhone i68

The SciPhone can initially pass for an iPhone, especially if you don’t look at it up and close. Apparently the i68 has taken its design from the iPhone and could be a potential substitute just in case you are looking for something similar.

The Cect HiPhone is the most popular iPhone clone brand right now but a pretender has just arrived that might be able to successfully challenge its dominance. For one thing, the SciPhone model i68 is pretty damn close hardware-wise to what the iPhone looks like.

Specs of the Sciphone (pronounced Sky Phone) include a quadband GSM connectivity, 3.2-inch touch screen with both finger and stylus input, 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth (!!), Fm tuner and a G-Sensor for flick navigation. The demo video below shows only a changing of wallpapers when the Sciphone is flicked but it should also be able to change track by flicking.

Pantech has launched a new phone in Korea. It’s the Sky IM-S400L which comes in white and packs a 2.6 inch LCD screen and a new sensor technology called Glide. The Glide will let you navigate through the menu by using touch on the keypad.

The Glide Sensor transforms the keypad into a trackpad for easier navigation. Think of it as a touchpad for notebooks. Besides that the phone sports a DMB TV tuner, a subway map, and electronic dictionary and it will support external memory. The phone should be usable in other countries but so far only Korea will get it. Besides the white it will come in pink and blue.

  • While the Pantech Sky IM-S380K was a GSM handset headed for Korea’s KTF, the new Sky IM-S360L seems to head the other way to the CDMA air waves on Korea’s CDMA carrier, LGT. Although molded from the same clay, there are many differences on the IM-S360L starting with network support and the slightly changed key placement on the same slider design. The Pantech Sky Bang also features a 2.3-inch QVGA display, a 1.3 megapixel camera, FM radio, mp3 player, and microSD support. Measuring 102.9 x 48.6 x 13.4 mm and weighing 94 grams, the Sky Bang is available in a choice of Black, White, Silver, and of course, Pink at 400,000 KRW ($346) on LGT.

It isn’t very often that you won’t get any backlash when you are the self-proclaimed first at something. And after Sky claimed they were the first, and only, broadband provider to offer “truly unlimited” broadband, Virgin was none too happy.

An official Virgin spokesperson had this to say on the matter:

“We were the first ISP to provide unlimited broadband packages to our entire customer base, including both cable and ADSL, and have never imposed any form of ‘fair use’ policy.”

Hey guys? When one of you can offer me truly FREE, unlimited broadband, then we’ll talk.
