LG has customized a lot of their phones. This is essential specially when they are operating in Asia, an area where people love to accessorize. This time, LG Electronics has launched a new version of their Shine phone, as a token to one of China’s movie industry icon - Andy Lau.

The Shine x Andy Lau Special Edition phone comes complete with the actor’s own handwriting inscribed on the back of the phone. Fans will ultimately see his motto, which is “Heaven is where the kind-hearted people are.”

Lau has appeared in more than 100 films, and has a huge fan base throughout Asia with the success of both his onscreen performance and his musical career. Andy Lau Tak-Wah born September 27, 1961 in Hong Kong is a Hong Kong Cantopop star, movie actor and producer. He has been Hong Kong’s most commercially successful film actor since the 1990s.

Let’s take a look at the LG Shine KE970 mobile phone. The KE970 is a tri-band slider mobile phone made of metal. It’s 15mm thin and only 83g light. The upper part of the KE970 is made of mirror LCD featuring multi-angle vision technology. Mirror LCDs sure look attractive but their practicality has always been questionable in my eyes. Anyhow, the KE970 also features a multi-functional scroll key, 2Megapixel camera, Bluetooth connectivity, USB and multi-media player.

After selling 5 million units worldwide, the LG Shine finally crosses US shores. The success of LG’s Chocolate series prompted the release of the Shine in the States. It only remains to be seen how the American audience would welcome it. As opposed to its European and Asian counterparts, the LG Shine has 5 way navigational pads instead of the 3-way scrolls. The outer casing is sleek silver aluminum and the unit boasts quad-band support, 2 megapixel camera, media player, stereo bluetooth, 70MB internal memory and a microSD card slot. A great way to end 2007 by LG.

After announcing the success of over 5 million “Shine” units sold around the world, LG also revealed of the availability of the HSDPA Shine in the US through AT&T. The Shine LG-CU720 comes with a compact jog wheel and user can download a 4MB song in 8-seconds with the 3.6Mbps HSDPA support.

A new LG phone is coming from the immensely popular Shine line of products. This one is called Wood because it has a wooden frame that gives the LG-LB2500H a natural feel. LG has not gone o’ natural with the Wood’s capabilities however. It wields high end features like a 2MP camera, MP3 Player and an electronic dictionary. There is also a DMB television for this Korea only telephone. No launch date has been released and the retail price is anybody’s guess at this point.

LG has officially announces the release of new LG Shine Phones, but this time, its with two different colors for different markets. The LG Shine gold will be made for Asia, while the Pink edition will be available in Europe in October. The black edition will be sold globally at the same time.

The phone from LG, of course, would still feature all of the good stuff, including an MP3 player and a 2 megapixel camera. On-board, it also has 1GB of memory for storing your media.

Here’s a quick look on the new LG KG77 Shine Phone. Aside from the fact that it looks really sleek and stylish, it is comparable to a lot of high-end phones out there. It is designed with a luxurious pure stainless steel casing and weighs a mere 9.9 millimeter.

Its features include a 2 megapixel camera, and a 1.77 inch 176×220 260k color screen. Oh, and it looks very much like the KG70. As a matter of fact, you can call it the KG70’s little brother.

LG recently announced its new LG Chocolate Handset, the LG KG90 Phone. LG is again releasing a newer version of that phone, the LG KG90C Shine Phone, touted as the White Chocolate handset. Named as white chocolate because of its all-white outer covering with a sleek and shiny design. Basically, it is the same as that of the KG90. It has the same 1280 x 960 resolution, supports MP3, AAC+, and WMA playback, and a 2.0 inch, 26 ten thousand colors TFT screen. Furthermore, it sports 128MB memory, Java support and bluetooth connectivity.
