  • kwiry Viral Marketing Platform

Here’s an interesting service from kwiry: the company announced the launch of kwiry.com, a viral platform for advertisers, TV/radio networks and others to use text messages to drive traffic from mobile phones to their websites. Once you respond to a partner’s ad, kwiry can reach you when you are back online.

The platform essentially turns each text message into a potential page view from the kwiry user community. For example, GamePro Magazine uses kwiry to drive its print readers to GamePro.com. Companies can also avoid the use of confusing URLs to drive people to specific content on their website. Other useful services offered by kwiry include the kwiry reminder service where your text messages are converted into reminders that can be retrieved online.

    Viral marketing. Oh, well.

  • Nokia Internet Radio

Nokia’s latest service for mobile phones, the Nokia Internet Radio, is now available. In order to listen to radio shows broadcasted on the Internet, simply download and install the Internet Radio application from Nokia’s website and install it onto your Nokia S60 3rd Edition phone. The software, still in its beta, will later be made available by default on the 3rd edition Symbian-based phones.

Nokia claims it as a new way to discover music, as the station directory available with the service lets users browse music by station name, genre, country or language. In addition, you also get hourly updates of the top ten most popular internet radio stations - which you can the n add to your Favorites list for easy accessibility.

For improved audio quality, the service picks streaming servers that are appropriate for your current network speed. Currently available for download to Nokia N82, Nokia N91, Nokia N95 and Nokia N95 8GB, it will be embedded in later S60 3rd edition devices.

  • gI_NetSoliphone1.jpg.jpgToday, Network Solutions has announced of its new application that would allow customers to search and buy a domain name, or conduct a WHOIS database search, directly from their iPhone, Treo, Blackberry, or other Web-enabled mobile devices. Well, with online marketing on the rise, who says mobile marketing won’t soon follow. I have a gut feeling that there will be a time when all your grocery will be just a text message away.

This new mobile application, which allows customers to buy a domain with just one click, can detect whether a customer is visiting the Network Solutions site from an iPhone or other mobile-enabled device, and quickly presents a home page that can be easily viewed. If a customer is using an iPhone, this new application will present an interface specifically designed for their phone that leverages the iPhone’s high resolution touch screen.

Network Solutions has made it easier for customers to register a domain name or perform a WHOIS search using their Internet enabled mobile phone. Users simply search, and when they find what they need, they can call Network Solutions award-winning customer service twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week with a tap of their finger.

  • 220px-Alltel_logo.svg.pngHere’s some really cool news coming in from our emails. Alltell Wireless is offering lucky football fans throughout the country to win a chance to live out your dream of passing a winning touchdown for your favorite teams. Alltel Wireless, America’s largest network, offers this through their “My Circle 1st & 10” sweepstakes.

Fans of the 16 sponsored universities and pro football teams can enter to win a chance at football stardom by texting CIRCLE to 52191 or by logging onto www.alltelfootball.com beginning Sept. 12, 2007. One lucky fan from each sponsored team will be selected at random to take the field and attempt to complete a pass for an unprecedented grand prize. If they complete the pass, the winner will earn $100,000 for his or her ‘circle’ of 10 friends to share as well as free Alltel Wireless service on America’s largest network for the first 20,000 fans who redeem vouchers at an Alltel store.

Grand prize winners will take the field with their ‘circle’ of 10 friends at halftime of Alltel’s 16 sponsor game days. The 10 friends will have a chance to complete their own 10-yard passes, with each successful throw driving the grand prize winner down the field and closer to his or her target for the final pass.

If the grand prize winner’s throw spirals through the target, the grand prize winner and his or her ‘circle’ take home $100,000 to share and trigger a reward for those in attendance. The first 20,000 fans to redeem vouchers provided by Alltel will receive their own grand prize – six months of free Alltel Wireless service with “My Circle,” as well as the new Motorola RAZR V3a phone for just 99 cents. The grand prize voucher offers are limited to the first four games with on-field winners.

North Carolina A&T University will host the first “My Circle 1st & 10” challenge at its home football game on Oct. 13, 2007. The program concludes at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C., home of the Carolina Panthers, on Dec. 16, 2007. See detailed schedule below.
