We are pretty much aware that mobile surveillance has been growing by leaps and bounds and seeing a special software made for the iPhone or the iPod Touch to act as a medium isn’t really surprising. And now, videoNEXT unveils a trio of mobile video apps which should come in handy for consumers which operate on 3G or WiFi networks where available.

The three mobile video apps from videoNEXT are:

  • CAVU FREE - allows users to directly connect to IP cameras (Axis and Panasonic BB & BL Series) and monitor them remotely. Cost: None.
  • CAVU - connects to any of videoNEXT’s SKM video management solutions (SKM-Cirrus, SKM-Stratus and SKM-Altus). Provides a live camera matrix; live full screen video with pan, tilt and zoom controls; playback of recorded video from any camera; a real-time alarm/event log with video playback; and alarm acknowledgment. Cost: $19.99.
  • CAVU PRO - includes features of CAVU, plus multi-server capability. It uses the iPhone’s camera to stream live video back to any SKM-video management system. CAVU PRO also offers GPS position tracking on Google Earth maps and allows the use of pan-tilt-zoom pre-sets. Cost: $49.99.

Already known to be among the pioneers in providing surveillance software and security featured solutions, these new additions should be a big boost to the security efforts needed by industries that require a different level of security.

When it comes to logging on to social networking sites like Facebook, subscribers just seem to want to log on and showcase images and some excerpts according to them. When they are away from their PC, the nearest device to use is the mobile phone on a limited capacity. But not anymore!

GoTV Networks, Inc., the industry’s largest mobile media network, today announced the launch of LiveFromYou, a new personal media application for mobile phones and social networks.

LiveFromYou is a mobile and web product that enables users to share the stories of their lives in pictures, videos and words with friends and family on their social network page. LiveFromYou automatically organizes pictures, videos, and other media for easy and instant sharing via an application widget loaded onto a user’s Facebook or MySpace page.

LiveFromYou curates and organizes media, whether it is currently present on the user’s social network page or ready to upload from a collection stored on a desktop PC, digital camera or mobile phone. Media is automatically presented in chronological order, either individually or grouped in user-defined albums on the innovative LiveFromYou timeline. When geo-code data is present, the media items or albums are also viewable on a map.

LiveFromYou is now available for Facebook and MySpace. In one easy process users can load the application to their personal page. The LiveFromYou application widget automatically imports the media from a user’s social network profile.

Key Features:

  • Multimedia Sharing
  • Easy Access
  • Instant Media Uploads
  • Map/Geo Tracking
  • Security
