All The Latest Cell Phone, Gadget and Tech News

First teased this morning, LG’s second-gen Chocolate has been extremely hyped for some time now. However, details on the phone weren’t supposed to be released until next month.

Well, if rumors are to be believed more details on the phone have leaked out. The phone’s model number will reportedly be BL-40, the screen will be more than 3 inches diagonally and feature a 21:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 800 x 345. Additionally, the handset will feature a 5MP camera and HSDPA.

Are these rumors to be believed? If so I’m likin’ what I’m hearin’ so far. I guess we’ll have to wait until next month to pass final judgement.

Here is another great way to add some flare to your iPod Touch. Great as a outer cover casing and a catchy way of adding some appealing design to your iPod, CandyShell Cases launches two new casings for the second generation iPod. It is available in two colors, Lemon Drop Liquorice and Cranberry White Truffle. Both are now available at Apple Stores for purchase at $34.95.

“We introduced CandyShell for the iPhone 3G earlier this year and it quickly became one of our top selling cases,” said Irene Baran, CEO of Speck. “We’re proud to say Apple enthusiasts are loving the case’s great looks, vivid colors and the seamless combination of a sleek outer hard shell with a shock-absorbing rubberized interior.”

CandyShell’s soft, colorful rubberized interior helps keep the iPod touch (2nd Gen) insulated from life’s bumps and drops, while the shiny and sleek outer hard shell protects it from scratches and lets you slip it in and out of pockets easily.

CandyShell has generous openings and access to all ports, controls and sensors, including soft-touch rubberized touch-thru power and volume control covers. The CandyShell can be docked through the bottom opening. The case also includes a cleaning cloth and removable screen protector film for extra scratch protection.

Toshiba adds another dimension towards its line of mobile device solutions as it unveils the world’s first laptop configured with a eSATA second generation 512GB Solid State Drive (SSD) with the Portégé R600-ST4203. Toshiba’s newest development shows its dedication to pushing innovation as the company has increased SSD capacities on laptops from 32GB to 512GB in just two years.

At just 2.4 pounds and 0.77 inches thin, the Portégé R600 with SSD provides customers with an enhanced level of protection, portability, reliability and fast data access. The adoption of this solid state technology in Toshiba’s ultraportable laptops enables the user to enjoy faster boot, application loading and up to 3.0 faster access times compared to a 128GB solid state drive (SSD). Additionally, the lack of moving parts reduces noise and the risk of mechanical failure which makes it a reliable solution. Moreover, the SSD is lightweight, tough and impact resistant, designed to withstand higher impacts than a conventional HDD.

The Portégé R600-ST4203 will be available in early June exclusively on www.toshibadirect.com at $3,499.99 MSRP.
