For those of you who just need to have an extra cable for their iPhone/iPod, you might want to consider the FlipSync from Scosche.
This guy costs about $20, and it is essentially an iPod/iPhone cable in keychain form, designed to be whipped out whenever it is needed. It should be out sometime in the first quarter, and Scosche also intends to have similar cables for other smartphones as well.
