Windows Mobile 7 err Windows Phone 7 Series is just over the horizon which means talks over what the first devices to have the phone will be. Well, if rumors are to be believed Microsoft will be doing what other handset manufacturers are doing (read: Apple) and limiting the operating system to just one device at launch.
There’s pretty much no official word on this device but it’s codenamed Chassis 1 and supposedly features a touchscreen, 1GHz processor and a dedicated graphics chip. This leads us to believe that Microsoft would then go on to release the Chassis 2, 3, 4 etc. after the first device hit.
If this rumor pans out, it would be a radically different approach to Microsoft’s handset business. I like the sound of it.

It seems that the hype surrounding the iPad has died down for a bit but that doesn’t mean the folks over in Cupertino have stopped preparing for its March release. If you’ll recall the iPad was marketed as great new way to view media such as videos. Well, recent rumors have just surfaced that say Apple is planning to sell TV shows for just 99 cents a piece, instead of the current $1.99.
Apple has yet to deny or confirm this rumor but if it pans out I’m sure it will spark more interest in potential buyers. I, for one, wouldn’t mind a few 99 cent episodes of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Now that the Palm Pre is on both Sprint and Verizon Wireless in one form or another, AT&T users looking to get their webOS fix have been left in the dust. Luckily, according to a document released by the FCC, the Palm Pre may in fact be hitting AT&T’s service come May.
Of course, this has yet to be confirmed so we’ll have to way until AT&T or Palm come forth and say something.

A couple of days ago we let you know that the Motorola CLIQ is to be available for just $10 with a 2-year contract through Wirefly. However, the device currently isn’t running the latest version of Android but if BGR is to be believed, that may all change quite soon.
According to said source, Motorola has released word that the CLIQ is expected to get updated to Android version 2.1 sometime in March. Although not confirmed, if this were to pan out it would be great news for consumers looking to get their Android fix on a budget.

We only just got our hands on a supposed picture of the HTC Supersonic and already a render of the device has appeared. There’s no telling if this is merely a mock up of the leak or an official HTC render but based on said leak, it looks pretty accurate.
If you haven’t been paying attention, the HTC Supersonic is said to feature a 4.3-inch screen, Android 2.1, WiMAX and a 1GHz Snapdragon processor. Just think HTC HD2 running Android and you essentially have the Supersonic.
There’s been no official word on the specs of this device so we’ll have to wait and see what HTC actually has cookin’.

Sure, we may not officially know the name but the New York Times has recently ran an article that hints at the features of Apple’s Tablet. While most of this stuff has already been rumored into the ground, it’s nice to see a major publication backing up such rumors.
Anyways, below is an excerpt from the article:
It will run all the applications of the iPhone and iPod Touch, have a persistent wireless connection over 3G cellphone networks and Wi-Fi, and will be built with a 10-inch color display, allowing newspapers, magazines and book publishers to deliver their products with an eye to the design that had grabbed readers in print.
Honestly though, how funny would it be if Apple announced something completely unrelated to a Tablet? Like a 10-inch MacBook Air or something.

While there have been rumors floating around seemingly forever about what Apple’s Tablet is to be called the most obvious frequently seems to be brushed off. And what is that name, you ask? Well, iTablet, of course.
There has been no concrete evidence to support what the Tablet will be called (or if it exists) but Engadget has provided us with the above image. Said image is a screen shot of an Apple Store employee’s inbox that shows an attachement that proudly displays the iTablet moniker. Now assuming that this email was actually sent from Cupertino then perhaps it is called the iTablet after all. I mean, the iPhone is called the iPhone, right?

The community is growing more and more tired waiting for the 27th to roll around where Apple is expected to unveil their fabled Tablet. Well, what you see above is reportedly the front glass to be featured on said Tablet.
If this picture is true, the Tablet’s design will be nothing more an a scaled up iPhone. Then again, it is the internet so the chances of these being fake are unfortunately quite high.
However, we won’t know for sure until the 27th.

Earlier this month we let you know that LG would be bringing Windows Mobile 7 to their handsets later this year but that’s about all we heard of it. Now, a French blogger meeting with LG has tweeted that Windows Mobile 7 will be coming to their handsets in September of this year.
Of course, the tweets have since been pulled but WMPoweruser managed to snag the above screenshot of the tweets just before they were pulled. Furthermore, from the same round of tweets we can see that Android 2.1 will be coming to LG handsets this April.
Can these tweets be believed? Something tells me they can.

Sure the Palm Pixi itself is a neat little device but it currently only comes in a black color scheme. Now word has been given by palm, or Sprint, as to when if ever we will see the Pixi in a new color.
However, thanks to an anonymous Engadget tipster, we have the above screenshot of the Sprint database that shows us a pink Palm Pixi is on its way.
Is this to be believed? We have no idea but considering CES is right around the corner we probably won’t have to wonder for long.

While there were some talks about whether or not the T-Mobile G1 would ever be seeing an Android upgrade due to memory restrictions, reports have surfaced today that give us some hope. Apparantly, Google is planning to push out an update for the G1 that will bring the device’s OS to version 2.0, or 2.1.
There’s absolutely no official word about this so we’re going to have to mark this one off as just a rumor until T-Mobile, HTC or Google come forth and tell us otherwise.

The Storm 2 hasn’t technically been made official for Verizon Wireless yet but it’s coming, we know it is. However, if recent reports are to be believed owners of the original BlackBerry Storm may not be left completely in the dark.
Said reports state that the original Storm will be getting a firmware update to bring it up to speed software wise with the Storm 2. This means the device will be getting flick scrolling, threaded texting and tabbed browsing.
Exactly when is this firmware update expected to go down? Let’s wait until Verizon officially announces the Storm 2 to make any assumptions.
