We don’t know if we can find the love in us for a device like the ROKR now that Motorola has moved to greener pastures with the Shules and Morrison, but the iDEN-equipped version of the musicphone that you see above might just be what some iDEN customer is looking for. There isn’t much to go on this device right now except for the picture above and the rumor of a likely pairing with Sprint and/or Boost in the near future, which is obvious given that Sprint and Boost are the two major iDEN networks in the US, but we will keep you in the loop if anything else pops up, so stay tuned.

Motorola seems eager to launch more successors to some of its cell phone lines. The one in the picture above is said to be a new ROKR that has just been leaked over. It’s not the E10 Texel but it looks like it. So it could be an E11 or E12 version of it.
The phone seems to be a touchscreen handset and it has a 3.2 megapixel camera. We don’t have any features yet and there’s no official Motorola announcement available either. Are you interested in a new ROKR?

The LiMo foundation announced the new Motorola ROKR EM30 mobile phone, apparently the 22nd handset model based on the LiMo platform. LiMo, for those who came in late, is a Linux-based operating system for mobile devices. You may also remember the Moto ROKR as being one of their music phones, and the EM30 is no different: Motorola claims compelling music features.
The ROKR EM30 will launch first in Taiwan and other markets are expected to follow later. With an LCD display, D-pad navigation and integrated GPS functionality, users can take advantage of any available location based services. The phone uses ModeShift technology to illuminate the keyboard - red keys illuminate in music mode and blue while in phone mode.
With Radio Data System in place, users can know the artist and song playing on the built-in FM radio. The phone features a 3.5mm stereo headset jack.

The all new Motoroal ROKR E8 recently released takes you from talk to music with just a touch. The phone utilizes the new Motorola ModeShift Technology. ROKR E8 is a no compromises device — it’s both an MP3 player that makes great phone calls and a mobile phone with tremendous audio capabilities.
With the unique ModeShift technology, mobile phones with music features will never be inferior to stand-alone audio devices. Motorola designed ROKR E8 to deliver an uncompromised consumer experience for music or talk. Using breakthrough ModeShift technology from Motorola, the quad-band GPRS/EDGE device presents users with only the controls they need, at the time they need them, instantly transforming from music player to phone with the touch of a button.
ROKR E8 is more than just a “touch”-operated device. Using innovative vibrating haptics technology, the device provides the tactile feedback consumers expect from a traditional keypad, providing confirmation they have pressed a virtual key.
In music mode, ROKR E8 delivers great sound through a three-dimensional stereo feature that enhances two-channel audio and an on-board equalizer. Music can be enjoyed on the built-in speaker, with a compatible Bluetooth enabled stereo headset, or through a wired headset plugged into the 3.5mm jack.
ROKR E8 also helps consumers discover new music with a built-in FM radio and support for Song ID. The 2GB internal memory can store up to 1,500 songs, and the external memory is expandable up to 4GB with an optional microSD card. Music transfers quickly with USB 2.0. The device is compatible with Windows Media Player 11 on the PC, which also provides access to more than 200 online music stores.

Now just after the Palm Treo 500V being announced, let’s check out some stuff at the other side of the wall. Some pictures of Motorola’s latest offerings have surfaced. Earlier today, we posted some pics and details of the upcoming Motorola PEBL U3 recently announced in Brazil. Now we have the new Motorola ROKR W series! Based on the pictures, you have to admire the way on how Motorola is making a brand out of the ROKR. The phone will have music control keys on the side as opposed to the touch sensitive ones found on the yet-to-be announced Rokr U9. It will also have a 1.3 megapixel camera and a microSD card slot.

After the announcement of the Motorola ROKR E7, the telecommunications company also revealed pictures of their new Motorola ROKR E8. It is part of the ROKR series and under the model E8 but brings its own unique design which makes it stand out of the crowd.
When looked by the side it resembles the Q9h by the slim profile but the front side is something totally new thanks to the strange keyboard. Instead of actual keys it has just “buds” over the flat surface and the characters must be illuminated to show. The even stranger fact is shown in the dark images – in standby mode there are the standard navigation keys and the numeric buttons but when the multimedia player is opened they hide and music-dedicated shortcuts are illuminated to attract the attention.
Although there is not much information on the E8, it seems the new Motorola phone will use Linux-Java OS (as the RAZR2 V8) optimized for the QVGA landscape display. The internal memory is 2GB (expandable via microSD card), the camera is 2-megapixels and it most probably supports Stereo Bluetooth. E8 has 3.5mm jack for stereo headphones and microUSB for charging and synchronization which in other Moto phones is also used for connecting the headphones.
