  • There are a lot of good reasons to be affiliated with groups such as AAA. Being America’s largest motoring and leisure travel organization, they can really make a difference as far as assisting motorists is concerned. And just like most companies who have embraced the fruits of new technology, AAA releases their own version for the iPhone, the AAA Roadside App.

As you would expect, this app is designed to aid motorists in time of need. This covers instances where they encounter car trouble and with the app, help is practically a call away.

The app includes a While You Are Waiting feature, so members can search for nearby AAA Approved Auto Repair shops, Hertz rental locations offering AAA member discounts, AAA Approved accommodations, AAA offices and retail locations with discounts on auto parts and more. Each search displays key information for each location, such as the name, address, phone, distance from location, routing map, driving directions and a summary of the discount details.

The AAA Roadside App is now available at the for free at the iTunes App Store.

Get ready for this — Microsoft has just announced that beginning in the fall they will be opening retail locations right next to Apple Stores:

And stay tuned, because we’re going to have some retail stores opened up that are opened up right next door to Apple stores this fall. Stay tuned, just stay tuned.

Apple has a wide array of different products that they have developed in house while Microsoft is mainly a software developer. What exactly will these retail stores hold? Perhaps mobile phones, laptops and desktop PCs from different manufacturers?

    Let the war begin!

  • This new app is a new marketing channel and great attraction for consumers who love freebies. Sounds familiar? It does sound like a business-model type scenario but it is really like making both ends meet. The new app is the DreamWalkMobile.com, a “mobile treasure hunt” that offers exciting benefits to both advertisers and consumers.

DreamWalk enables advertisers to place real prizes, samples and giveaways at GPS locations on the global DreamWalk prize map for mobile phone users to collect. Prize points positioned on the DreamWalk map also double as interactive advertisements. Mobile phone users can claim their prizes directly from the retail locations being advertised.

The new DreamWalk application is ideal for business owners and advertising executives who want low-cost, measurable ads that target consumers in a fresh way. DreamWalk offers spam-free advertising, free online statistics, and free account registration. In addition, the web site is giving $25 in free DreamWalk credits to everyone who signs up for an account.
