Are you a Mac user who takes pleasure in a few drags of a cigarette here and there? Well, if you’re indulging in your not-so-respected habit near your computer you may run into some problems if/when you take it into an Apple store for service.
It seems that 2 customers have reported being turned down for Apple support due to the fact that they are smokers. Apple responded by saying that the OSHA lists nicotine as a biohazard and working on a contaminated unit could potentially put the technician’s health at risk.
For those of you smokers rolling your eyes at this report just think of it as one more reason to quit.

It seems the problem was a bit more widespread than we anticipated — Following a recent lawsuit brought before Amazon.com regarding the Kindle 2’s screens being prone to cracking, the company has released a press release stating that they will in fact replace cracked screens absolutely free.
If you are familiar with Amazon’s policy, they previously charged a $200 fee for the same repair. Perhaps Apple can learn a thing or two from Amazon.3
