Samsung has today released the full list of countries that will be getting the Omnia II at some point this month including France, the UK, Germany and Australia. However, the United States failed to make the cut, what gives?

Considering the device was slated for an August 23rd Best Buy release a few days ago we can only point towards some sort of problematic delay as the cause.

Hit the read link for the full list of countries that will be getting Samsung’s Windows Mobile powered Omnia II this month.

Recent reports suggest that Samsung is preparing to launch their Android-powered Galaxy in the UK sometime next week.

News comes to us from O2 employees who say the Galaxy has appeared on their store’s stock management system stating the phone will arrive next week. There’s no official confirmation from Samsung or O2 that this is actually happening but if you have your eye on this device, hold off another week just to be sure.

Just as we had learned at the end of the July, T-Mobile has put HTC’s Touch Pro2 handset up for sale for $349.99 with a 2 year contract.

This device features a Qualcomm 528MHz processor, 3.6-inch touchscreen, full QWERTY keyboard, 3.2MP camera with auto focus, GPS, WiFI, a microSDHC slot and Windows Mobile 6.1 with TouchFLO 3D.

While the Touch Pro2’s features make it a very capable handset, it’s $349.99 price tag could potentially turn some consumers away.

HTC Touch Pro Release Date Moved

Sorry for all of you who are waiting for this phone. But, the rumors are true, the HTC Touch Pro launch will be delayed. Back at CTIA Fall 2008, Sprint announced that it would offer the HTC Touch Pro smartphone with an expected ship date of October 19. Seeing that the date is drawing close, lots of people were checking Sprint to see details on the launch. Unfortunately, the Touch Pro will not be available on the 19, but now we’re looking to see the Windows Mobile 6.1 device around the end of October/early November.

Here is the statement from Sprint:

“Sprint expects to slightly delay launch of the Touch Pro by HTC to ensure we have adequate inventory in all channels before making the device commercially available. Customers can expect the device to become available in select national retailers by the end of the month and then in all Sprint sales channels including online at www.sprint.com and Sprint Stores by early November.”

  • Samsung X360 Released in the US

When Samsung announced the X360, a lot of people were jealous. In the X360, you have a 2.8-pound laptop with a 13.3-inch display, 1.2 inches at its thickest. However, Samsung has never been too keen on entering the US market. But now, with Samsung’s entry into the US laptop market, there’s no reason to be jealous anymore.

Samsung is offering two fixed configurations of the X360: the $1,899 version has a 1.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo U9300 processor and a 120GB hard drive, while the $2,499 version bumps it up to a 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo U9400 processor and a 128GB solid-state drive. Both models include integrated Intel X4500 graphics, 4GB of 1,066MHz RAM, and an LED-backlit WXGA display.

  • Motorola ZN4 Krave - Out Now!

Finally, its here! The Motorola ZN4 Krave is being launched today by Verizon Wireless. The Krave ZN4 is one of the coolest phones most of you have seen in a while. It is a variant of the Motorola Ming which never made its way to the United States market.

The Krave offers a unique phone design and looks so much like a Star Trek communicator. Yet, it adds more features while offering innovative design tweaks to an intuitive and easy-to-use touch interface. There’s still no Wi-fi though and the camera editing options are few and the Web browser takes acclimation. But still, the Krave remains a sharp and satisfying device that’s sure to become a conversation piece. It can be had from Verizon Wireless for the price of $149 with a two-year contract.

Nokia has finally decided to release the long overdue and much talked about N96, which is heading straight for the United Kingdom before it starts spreading its magic elsewhere in the world. This latest Nseries device can now be preordered on the Nokia UK website and is priced at £535 including taxes (about $963), a bit steep perhaps but might be worth every penny, considering what the consumer will be taking home. The N96 has a 2.8-inch that manages to look gorgeous and humongous at the same time without the aid of a touchscreen function, HSDPA support, WiFi, aGPS, 16GB of internal memory with a microSD slot for the insatiable type, a 5-megapixel camera from Carl Zeiss, which seems almost outdated now that 8 megapixel lens are in, and a DVB-H receiver for on-the-go TV action. Not shabby at all, don’t you think?

  • It was about time one more Nokia made an appearance here in the good old USA, with the last S60-powered device to grace the States being the N75 almost a year ago. We hope Nokia doesn’t take the same route with the Nokia Tube and include this side of the Atlantic in their grand plans too. Fresh off its European tour on T-Mobile, the Nokia 6650 has decided to pay us a visit bearing AT&T’s flag. Apart from bringing a bit of joy to the Symbian lovers Stateside, the Nokia 6650 comes packed with a 2.2-inch QVGA display with a secondary 160×128 on the front of the clamshell, a 2-megapixel lens, HSDPA 850/1900 support, and GPS with AT&T Navigator suport. Not much we know, but enough to keep S60 starvation at bay for now. There’s no information on when or for how much it will be available though, but we will keep you posted as soon as we come across that little bit of knowledge.
