AT&T desperately wants to get rid of its iPhone 3G stock. The carrier is now offering the 8GB iPhone 3G for a lot less than it did before. The “old” refurbished iPhone will cost you now just $49 but you’ll also have to get a new 2-year contract. If you’re not interested in the iPhone 3GS but looking for a new phone then you should definitely consider an iPhone 3G. At $49 it’s a bargain even if you’re only getting a refurbished model.

If you though that AT&T’s $79 refurbished iPhone 3G offer was pretty hot then you should see Fido’s refreshed iPhone 3G offer. The Canadian carrier is ready to offer refreshed 8GB iPhone 3Gs to its customers for just CAD $49 (that’s a little over $43 USD). 16GB iPhone 3Gs are available for just CAD $99, just in case you were wondering.

What’s the difference between refreshed and refurbished you might ask? Well those refreshed units have been returned within a few days after their activation. Are they better or worse than refurbished units? You’ll be the judge of that! And when you go to Fido for a cheap iPhone 3G, keep in mind that you’ll still have to get a new contract to be able to take advantage of the new promotional price.

As you might have expected, AT&T has started to sell even cheaper iPhone 3G phones. And I am not talking about those new prices announced for the 8GB and 16GB models at WWDC. AT&T has now more refurbished phones waiting for new customers. The refurbished 8GB model will cost you $79 while the refurbished 16GB model will cost you just $129. Unfortunately the 2-year new contract is still mandatory which means you will still be paying lots of precious dollars every month to AT&T. At these prices an iPhone is still more affordable than ever so if you’re not willing to pay $199 for an iPhone 3GS then a refurbished handset is just what you need.

  • AT&T plans to get rid of quite a few phones these days. The HTC Fuze is just another example. Refurbished models will get an impressive $499 discount which means they will cost exactly $0. You will still have to agree to a 2-year contract and a new activation but the phone will not cost you anything. Is it worth it? Verizon and Sprint are currently charging $349 and $299 respectively for an HTC Touch Pro, so the Fuze, even if refurbished, sounds like a good idea.

Besides working on upgrading the current 3G network, AT&T is doing everything in order to dump the remaining iPhone 3G stock. Right now AT&T is selling online refurbished iPhone 3Gs for just $150. Choose your favorite model, black or white, but be ready to enter a relationship with AT&T for 2 years. The offer is limited to one purchase per household and there’s another rule. You will have to be a new consumer to take advantage of this offer. And then again you could always save some extra bucks and get your hands on the new iPhone this summer.

It seems that the Boy Genius Report has recently gotten word that AT&T stores in the North East have gotten shipments of refurbished 16GB iPhone 3Gs to be sold for $149.

It seems that these iPhones are only available to those starting a new line with a 2 year contract and are only allowed 1 per customer. Still, half off the normal retail price is still a damn good deal.

Anyways, BGR says that they aren’t 100% sure this tip is true, they have a pretty good hunch it is.

  • Well folks you have almost two days to take advantage of AT&T desperate need to sell refurbished iPhones. We’ve showed you just a few days the initial offer. If you remember both iPhone 3G versions received a $100 drop in price. The refurbished 8GB and 16GB iPhone 3G were available for $99 and $199 respectively with a two year contract.

Well AT&T has decided to go even lower. The company is taking an additional $50 off both phones. Too make it even better, the company is going to add a 2-day priority shipping to your order and it’s also free. Those iPhones are begging to be purchased. How many refurbished models does AT&T have.

  • $99 8GB iPhone From AT&T

It’s not Wal-Mart who’s going to bring you a $99 8GB iPhone but it’s AT&T. And it’s not a 4GB version but an 8GB version that AT&T is going to sell for $99. How’s that possible you ask? Those 8GB iPhone 3G are refurbished ones. They will come with a 2-year contract and the $100 discount I’ve just told you about.

And in case your mind keeps wondering about refurbished 16GB iPhones then you’ll be happy to know AT&T will offer you the same $100 discount for them. A $16GB iPhone 3G with a 2-year contract will sell for $199. Just make sure you check the iPhone you’re going to choose! You wouldn’t want it damaged in any way!

  • Nokia 2610 Refurbished: Only $7

If you are interested in a cheap and entry-level cellphone but are undecided with so many choices, let me help you out by pointing the AT&T deal that sells refurbished Nokia phones, and one of them is the Nokia 2610 that only costs $7 with the discount. You get what you pay for, so with the 2610 there is space for a resolution of 128×128 pixels and a 65k color screen, 2MB of internal memory storage, and a battery that can last 4 hours in talk-mode, or almost 13 days in stand-by. Other features include instant messaging support for AIM, MSN, and Yahoo!, and ringtones in MP3 format.

  • AT&T to Offer Refurbished iPhones

Left and right in this mobile and cell phones business, whenever I turn my eyes these days I find iPhone this, iPhone that or AT&T iPhone this and that.

Hopefully June 11th will bring an end to it, although I highly doubt it. For now AT&T came up with a back up plan. If you were one of those people standing in line in an Apple store in New York City waiting for an iPhone that never came; if you were one of those UK customers that found themselves in a dangerous iPhone shortage; if you won’t be one of those lucky 3G iPhone owners; if you are on a budget but still want this toy; well (lot’s of ifs here) you are going to AT&T! (more…)
