All The Latest Cell Phone, Gadget and Tech News

Back in June we were met with a leaked screen shot suggesting that Samsung’s Reclaim would be coming to Sprint at some point in the future. Today, however, Samsung has come forth to announce that the Reclaim is now available on Sprint for $49.99 after a 2-year contract and mail-in rebates.

The main selling point of the phone is the fact that it is 80% recyclable but it’s slide out QWERTY keyboard, 2.3″ display, microSD slot and 2MP camera make it a worthy competitor to similary priced phones.

Remember those pictures of the Samsung Reclaim which we showed you a while ago? Well it looks like Sprint has decided to come forward with the official announcement of the phone.

The Reclaim is an eco-friendly phone made with 80% recycled materials. The phone will offer you a full slide-out QWERY keyboard, a 2-megapixel camera with video recording, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, GPS, microSDHC up to 32GB and a 2.3-inch screen.

The reclaim will cost $49.99 after $30 instant savings and a $50 mail-in rebate. Of course you’ll have to get a brand new 2-year agreement but if you’re looking for a cheap entry level phone filled with more than decent features then the Samsung Reclaim is worth getting that new contract. And on top of everything $2 will go to The Nature Conservancy Adopt an Acre program for every Reclaim sold by Sprint.

  • The Samsung Reclaim M560 is headed to Sprint on August 16 but in the mean time we got some pictures of it so we should check them out. And we’re pleasantly surprised that these leaked pictures don’t look anything like we were expecting. There’s no blurriness here and we should assume they have been leaked by someone with lots of access to either Samsung’s or Sprint’s inventory. The Reclaim is a QWERTY slider which seems to be made with heavy texters in mind. Other features include a 2.3-inch screen with QVGA resolution, a 2-megapixel camera and GPS. We’ll be waiting for more details from Sprint regarding the launch and price tag of the Samsung Reclaim.
