Despite Apple keeping the iPhone 3G S‘ hardware pretty effectively under wraps, it seems that T-Mobile Netherlands didn’t get the memo and posted up the above picture.
As you can see, the iPhone 3G S’ processor has been bumped up from 412MHz (found in the 3G) to 600MHz. As for the RAM, it’s been increased from the 3G’s 128MB to 256MB. Everything else, we already knew, 3MP camera with autofocus, video camera, 32GB capacity etc.
So, it looks like Apple’s claims of everything being at least 2x faster hold true at least judging from the hardware. We’ll have to wait until we get our hands on the phone to pass judgement.

Sure I’d like one of those 32GB DDR3 RAM sticks installed in my PC. Maybe then Vista won’t be a bitch hassle anymore. It looks like Samsung has the technology to make them, but do we have the computers to install the sticks in?
Samsung developed 50-nanometer, 4GB 512MB chips which make it all possible. Complexity and power consumption levels will be down so a 32GB DDR3 RAM stick is possible. How much will they cost and when will they be available to order? That’s a good question. Probably Samsung will also manufacture 16GB sticks which should be less expensive and equally good for us. I mean the average consumer might never realize the difference between 16GB or 32GB RAM.

The new NVIDIA chipset in those brand new MacBooks can hold up to 8GB of RAM. Apple says that no matter the model 4GB is the maximum supported RAM. Well it looks like the truth is out there and it’s right in the middle. Ramjet has tested and confirmed that the new MacBooks can support 6GB RAM. You will need a 2GB module and a 4GB one to pull it off, but it’s doable.
You want 8GB of RAM to work? Well it looks like that much RAM combined with the OS X will not do for now. The whole system will get unstable, so don’t try it at home!

Kingston announced the HyperX DDR3 Triple-Channel Memory which was designed for those Intel X58 motherboards. The new memory runs at 1.375/1.8/1.86/2GHz and it comes in kits of three 1GB modules. The memory will meet the 1.65 volt platform recommendation for Core i7 and it will be Extreme Memory Profile ready. Pricing range varies from $132 to $334, depending on what you choose.

Kingston is ready for the next DDR RAM level. I am talking about DDR3 memory modules which are already shipping in the USA. The model you should be looking for is the HyperX from Kingston. They will be the fastest DDR3 made so far with speeds of 2GHz. The 2GB model will feature CL9-9-9-27 @ 1.9v and their price will start from $227.
I’d expect the competition to come up with similar DDR3 modules soon which will lead to a price decrease. Not that $227 is that expensive for the speed the new RAM promises.
