While the Droid is definitely a better choice, Motorola’s first Android phone, the CLIQ, could also prove to be a very useful handset. And starting today T-Mobile customers will be able to get the phone. After all some of you have been anxiously waiting for it for quite a few weeks now. Starting today, you can pre-order your CLIQ and it looks like T-Mobile is ready to ship units to faithful T-Mobile customers. Everyone else will get their hands on the CLIQ only on November 2 which happens to be the actual release date.

So if you’re not willing to wait for Verizon to unveil the Motorola Droid and you’re not interested in T-Mobile’s upcoming Project Black, then you should go ahead and order the CLIQ. All you need is $199.99 and your signature on a new 2-year contract and the phone will be yours!

T-Mobile has a brand new project ready for its current and future customers. Dubbed as Project Dark or Project Black, T-Mobile’s new initiative is very secret. That doesn’t mean we don’t have some hot stuff for you. It looks like T-Mobile is getting ready to roll out its very own 21Mbps HSPA network, launch a new $50 Everything Unlimited plan and announce a few hot new phones like the BlackBerry Bold 2 and the Nokia N900. That will all happen at once and T-Mobile should make everything official by the end of October. In the mean time we hear T-Mobile is training the staff for the upcoming changes and the carrier isn’t prepared to confirm anything just yet.
