We’ve done the virtual live coverage of this year’s WWDC keynote and now we’re going to break it down for you. First up it’s the 15-inch MacBook Pro.
And here’s what Apple added to that unibody 15-inch laptop:
The 15-inch is even cheaper now! The $1,699 version will get you a 2.53GHz processor and 4GB of RAM, the $1,999 version will get you a 2.66GHz processor and 4GB of RAM and a 320GB HDD while the $2,299 version will deliver a 2.8GHz processor, 4GB RAM and a 500GB HDD.

I guess that all of us were expecting a 15 inch MacBook Air sooner or later. Maybe that’s how Apple is going to respond to all its competitors that started to create Air-like machines.
A Chinese blog is saying that Apple is working on a 15-inch MacBook Air which is set to arrive in the second half of the year. There aren’t any proofs that this will actually happen, but Apple will have to launch some new products later this year. Why not a bigger Air?
Will people buy the new Air? How much will it cost? Let’s not forget that the MacBook Pro is a more than reliable laptop so people might choose it in favor of an Air of the same size.

Remember the 17 inch MacBook Pro which Apple launched at Macworld? Well then you should also remember that amazing battery the new MacBook has inside. A single charge will get you 8 hours of work if using the NVIDIA 9400 GPU or 7 hours if using the 9600 GT. And you can charge you battery for 1,000 times. After that you can replace it. Simply go to Apple and order a replacement. The new battery will cost you just $179 and the whole operation will be performed by Apple employees. Simply go into an Apple Store or ship the MacBook to Apple. Either way you will be taken care of!

The FCC has approved another Palm phone. And no, its not the Palm Pre, at least not yet. The FCC has approved the CDMA version of the Palm Treo Pro. Sprint will probably get this smartphone too although at this point we won’t be advising you to wait for it. If you want a Palm smartphone then wait for the Pre. The Pre is what’s hot now and it will be hot for quite a while. We will return with the actual arrival dates of the Palm Treo Pro and the price once Sprint decides to officially announce it.

While people seem to be interested in an iPhone nano, I’d be more interested in a larger version of the iPhone, possibly an iPhone netbook. And it looks like I am not the only one.
Here’s the iPhone Pro concept. I am sure most of us will pick this one instead of a nano if both devices were actually available. It has a slide out keyboard fitted with gaming controls which would make it a decent gaming console. It also comes with at least 60GB of space, a better camera with video capability and zoom, a front camera for video calls, true 16:9 aspect and probably copy paste function too. Will we ever seen this iPhone design out there? Who knows really what Apple will do next?

We have some bad news for new MacBook and MacBook Pro owners. It looks like they will suffer if you happen to take out the battery. AC power only will not suffice to get the job done properly. So instead of trying to preserve your battery’s life by removing it from the laptop simply leave it be. You’re going to get a new laptop in the future anyways.
Here are some facts: processor performance is 37% lower on a MacBook Pro on AC only. And Apple confirms all of that and it seems it’s intentioanl. That way the computer won’t shout down if it demands more power than what the AC adapter can provide.

Is this the new Treo that Palm is getting ready for 2009? They have been plans for the upcoming year, but if they want to sell those phones they ordered, they need some good handsets.
This is the Treo Pro, supposed to work on Windows Mobile. So there’s no Palm OS for now. The flash presentation was taken down from Palm’s site leaving us wanting for more. We need specs, prices and launch date. In the mean time enjoy the screens!

AT&T seems to have another great phone coming soon and I am talking about HTC’s Touch Pro. The Pro is a great smartphone which is supposed to arrive soon. Obviously there’s no official confirmation from AT&T’s officials but traces of AT&T’s presence are felt in the TouchFlo 3D user interface.
A forum poster with XDA-Developers is claiming he got an AT&T HTC Touch Pro for only $900. I’d like to see official pricing and plans from AT&T, so I am looking forward to get some leaked memos. Is any AT&T employee present?

Here’s some good news to the US public. The HTC Touch Diamond and Touch Pro will hit the market soon. Word on the street is that both these two smartphones will be delivered by Sprint and Verizon. How weird is that? Of course this is another rumor waiting to be confirmed. A weird rumor. It’s about time for these two smartphones to hit the US market but I find it strange their arrival on two rival carriers.
