Wireless Laser Printer?

Brother_HL-2170w_270x202.jpg

That’s right I am presenting a wireless laser printer. I have had my share of mishaps with printers, laser or not, old or new, USB or parallel, you name it. One of the biggest problems when working with multiple devices are cables and cords. Not only do you need plenty of space to arrange the power cables and then the connectors to your computer but you also need to make them look good. Especially if you are working in an office.

So it was only natural that more and more wireless (laser) printers get created. And now we have the Brother HL-2170W model ready to be purchased. Its price ranges from $99 to $150 with new cartridges priced at $45. If I was changing my printer I’d sure consider it. Imagine setting this baby up in the bathroom kitchen office and simply Wi-Fi all your documents over. Isn’t that a cool thing to do?

And let me give you a couple of specs for the HL-2170W:

While playing nice with displaying your memories in 800×600 resolution and functioning as a PMP, the 8-inch SP8PRT photo frame has a cleverly concealed printer behind its LCD screen to produce 4×6-inch glossy prints instantaneously with the touch of a button. A dye-sublimation color cartridge loaded with ink and paper is supplied with the photo frame, which can print up to 36 pictures of your choice. As part of its OpitiPix lineup, it can also play WMA and AVI files at their native resolutions from most memory card formats including SD, Memory Stick, and xD Picture Card.

If the pictures on your mobile phone have been collecting dust for half a century, the new Polaroid Digital Instant Mobile Photo Printer could change that. The device presents a mobile solution for your photo printing needs. The printer is pocket sized and doesn’t even use ink. How’s that possible, you ask? Well, the product uses ZINK Zero Ink Photo Technology. Meaning, you can only use ZINK photo paper for it. The said photo paper already contains the colors yellow, cyan and magenta. The dyes are colorless before printing. What releases them during the printing process is heat. The printed pics are only a bit bigger than playing cards and they could be printed within seconds. You can connected the printer to your digicams via USB and via Bluetooth to your mobile phones.

    Product specs after the jump.
