Acer is finally ready to send the first Android netbook your way. The Aspire One D250 is available for Pre-order on Amazon and it will cost you $349 to get it. The netbook will offer you both Android and Windows XP under the hood so you’ll be able to choose which OS is better suited for your needs. Don’t hurry up to get it just yet as Acer is bound to unveil another version of the D250 capable of running Windows 7. The Windows 7 version will be announced at some point next week in Japan after Microsoft will finally launch its latest OS. It would be very interesting to see a netbook coming with both Windows 7 and Android on board but that might not happen anytime soon.

If you’re on Sprint and really looking to secure yourself an HTC Hero when it is made available, rumors are surfacing that you are now able to pre-order it.
Of course, you’re not going to be able to just hop on their website and slap down a pre-order instead you’re going to have to call up Sprint’s telesales and haggle with them until the let you pre-order it.
Either way, the chances of the HTC Hero completely selling out are slim so you shouldn’t have a problem if you don’t want to deal with Sprint’s customer service.

You all know the drill folks! If you want a hot Android phone from T-Mobile you will have to patiently wait before you can pre-order it and then you’ll have to patiently wait for it some more until you actually get it.
Motorola’s CLIQ is the hot Android in question and in about 19 days from now you will be able to get pre-order it. The CLIQ should be available for $199 with a two-year contract which isn’t exactly the price we heard about a few weeks ago. The phone is certainly worth buying and you have plenty of time to decide whether you desperately want it or you can pass on it while waiting for something hotter. And if you do pre-order it, don’t expect to get it sooner than November!

Those currently residing in Korea looking for an eBook reader that looks exactly like the Kindle 2 but, well, isn’t the Kindle 2 should check out iriver’s Story e-reader.
This 6-inch, QWERTY keyboard touting eBook reader has recently went up for pre-order over in Korea for 358,000 KRW (~$290). Other incentives to buy the e-reader include a 2GB SD card, a case and 2 free eBook downloads.
Unfortunately there is no work on when, if ever, this thing will be made available in the States.

We’ve seen the N900 available for pre-order in Italy and Germany first and now Nokia has put the Booklet 3G up for pre-order in Italy. The netbook costs 699 Euros with tax included which is about $1,021. That’s way too much for a netbook. We can expect to see the machine in the US soon but we can also expect it to cost way too much too. Why pay a higher price when you can purchase a way cheaper netbook that has similar specs inside? What do you say? What netbook have you purchased lately?

Yesterday we let you know that the Motorola CLIQ would be coming to the UK sometime in 2010 as the Motorola DEXT. However, today we have some contrasting news as recent reports suggest that the Motorola DEXT will in fact be hitting Orange UK sometime early next month.
Furthermore, pre-orders are supposedly going to start sometime around September 22nd so if you’re on Orange UK and want to get yourself an Android handset you should probably wait off until then.

Besides Sprint, Best Buy is also going to offer you the HTC Hero and you might be better off buying one from the giant electronics provider. Best Buy will be Sprint’s exclusive partner for 60 days and the phone will be available starting with October 11. The phone will cost you just $179.99 with a 2-year new Sprint contract. The best thing about this price is the fact that Best-Buy is willing to waive that $100 mail-in rebate while Sprint will still keep it.
And the phone is unofficially available for pre-order from Best Buy. Some Best Buy locations will let you pre-pre-order for a $50 deposit. Official pre-orders will start in about a week so you’ll be able to purchase your HTC Hero soon.

Just like we told you a few days ago, Nokia is already offering its brand new Internet Tablet to those of you willing to pay the full price. We’ve seen the N900 up for pre-order in Germany and Italy and now the U.S. Nokia site has the gadget available for pre-order too. In case money is no object to you then you’ll have no problem getting the N900 for $649. That sounds like a lot, sure, but not as much as $860. That’s how much Europeans will have to pay for the same N900 if they decide to pre-order it.

The Omnia II is definitely one of the best phones Samsung will launch this year. And if you’re already a big fan of the I8000 and you’re not affected by the recession then you should be able to pre-order the smartphone right now. The Omnia II has been spotted on Amazon but it’s currently priced at $999.99. What do you think? Better wait for that price to drop? Or are you going to buy yours today?

MSI has yet to announce North American availability for their U210 netbook but that hasn’t stopped Amazon.com from putting it up for pre-order.
The above pictured device will feature a 1.6GHz AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 processor, a 1366×768 12.1 inch WXGA display, 2GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive and 802.11n WiFi connectivity. All of this added to Vista Home Premium and a 6 cell battery rated good for 5 hours and you have yourself an above par notebook.
The only bad part? It’s priced at $429.99.

German and Italian customers interested in that hot Nokia Internet Tablet, the N900 Rover, can now pre-order it while they wait for Nokia to make the device available. Both German and Italian Nokia web stores have the N900 available for pre-order for just 600 Euros or just about $860, with free shipping. The N900 will be delivered to your home by October 1 or even earlier and we should expect Nokia to open pre-sales in other markets too. It looks like the N900 is even more expensive than the Booklet 3G which is certainly strange. What about you? Interested in getting the N900 or would you rather get the Booklet 3G?

It’s no secret anymore that Sprint is going to launch the HTC Hero at some point in the future. And we also know that the hot Android phone is going to be available for purchase in Best Buy stores once it becomes official.
What we didn’t know is that Best Buy is apparently getting ready to offer the phone for pre-order. According to Best Buy’s internal system the Hero will be available for pre-sale starting with September 13. Nothing is official yet but if the image here is to be believed, we might see the HTC Hero in Sprint stores by the end of September.

We’ve seen the operating system appear on Amazon.com and we’ve even seen it reportedly shipped with a Mac mini, but what we haven’t seem is an official Mac OS X Snow Leopard page on Apple’s website, until now, that is.
Apple has recently been kind enough to launch Snow Leopard’s official webpage showing off all of the features to be included with the update. Furthermore, Apple has put the operating system up for pre-order at $29.99 with a delivery date of August 28th.
While you might as well go ahead and pre-order the software if you already plan on buying it, I don’t see Apple running out of copies so there is really no rush.

The PS3 Slim is the hottest gaming console right now. It shouldn’t be, given the fact that Sony hasn’t launched a totally new platform. It’s mostly the same thing you’ve seen before, only it’s Slim and it’s cheaper. So if you want to go ahead and order your Slim console today you can already do it via Amazon. The 120GB PS3 Slim will cost you $299.99 and it will be ready to ship sometime later this month. Rumors point to an August 26 ship day but don’t get all too excited. It looks like the PS3 is in high demand and Amazon is going to only allow one PS3 Slim per household. That also means you might not get yours until a later date. If you got the cash and you’re already in love with this slimmer look then, by all means, follow the link! You’ll know what to do!

Despite the fact we’re well into 2009 already, Microsoft has just decided to launch 2008 software for Macs out there. In case you were waiting for Microsoft Office 2008 Business Edition for your Mac then we have some pretty good news. Microsoft has announced it and it will start shipping sometime next year. That’s right, you’ll get this “2008” software solution sometime in 2010. Sounds weird? Well it’s all real! Pre-ordering for Office 2008 will start on August 18 and you’ll have to pay $399.95 for fresh copy of Business Edition. If you happen to be upgrading then the pre-order will cost you just $239.95.

What you see above is reportedly a picture included in an e-mail that was sent out to Zune HD followers notifying them that the device is up for pre-order. While the picture isn’t of the highest resolution, it’s quite evident that there are several different colors to choose from, including ones we hadn’t seen before; red, green and blue added onto the previously known black and silver.
There hasn’t exactly been official confirmation on this, but it seems pretty legit. Perhaps we’ll have to wait until September 18th to know for sure.

Earlier this week we showed you what was supposedly a leaked Zune HD Best Buy display stand that said the device would be hitting store shelves on September 18th of this year. That was only added to the fact that Amazon.com had Zune HD up for pre-order the same day giving us a hint at the device’s price.
Well today, Microsoft soft has come clean and let us know that the Zune HD will in fact be hitting retailers on September 18th in 16GB and 32GB models for $219.99 and $289.99 respectively.
What’s more is, not only has Amazon re-listed the device for pre-order but Microsoft, Best Buy and Walmart have done the same.

Earlier today an Amazon.com listing was spotted that had 16GB and 32GB Zune HD models up for pre-order. The listing has since been removed but we have included a screen shot of it above for your viewing pleasure.
As you can see, the 16GB model features a black colorway and will go on sale for $219.99. The 32GB model, on the other hand, will feature a platinum colorway and a price tag of $289.99.
If you’ve been paying attention, you’ll know that the iPod touch (which is the device the Zune HD will go up against) is priced at $299 for the 16GB model and $399 for the 32GB model. Competitive pricing anyone?

As you are well aware by now, the Tour has been launched by both Sprint and Verizon on the same day. And Verizon seems to be the moral winner of this direct duel. Not only didn’t Sprint make the Tour available for pre-order, but it also failed to please every customer that walked into a store looking for a new Berry.
Sprint didn’t have enough Tour units to go around and this didn’t go unnoticed. According to Sprint’s twitter account, the carrier has received two shipments from RIM which means that all those of you that couldn’t walk out a store with a Tour in your hand can now return to get it. Of course if you went to a Verizon store instead then you don’t really care about Sprint’s new Tour stock.
