If you’ve been looking around to purchase a cool portable media player that has a lot of features, check out the PXP-2000 that is a look-a-like of the PSP. Anyway, this copycat version supports microSD cards so you don’t have to worry about storage capacity.
In terms of compatible file formats, the list is big thanks to the support of codecs. With that being said, the PXP-2000 can playback the following files: RM, RMVB, AVI, WMV, ASF, MPG, MPEG, MPE, MP4, DAT, MOV, and DAT. Additionally, this player can also turn into a gamer because it comes with a NES emulator, and also supports Gameboy and SFC. So, if this isn’t the full-of-features-PMP that you’ve been looking for, I don’t know what it is…

We are used to see COWON release a high number of portable media players during a year, and you can mark the iAudio 9 as their latest addition which is suppose to be the successor of the previous iAudio devices.
In terms of features, the COWON iAudio 9 boasts a 2.-inch screen and sadly it can only a read a few video file formats, unlike other PMPs that provide a huge list of supported formats. In this case, there are four options: AVI, WMV, Xvid, and ASF. As for the audio files, it can playback MP3, WMA, OGG, WAV, FLAC and APE. The iAudio 9 might not be a good PMP in the features department, but in the style department it rocks many others out there.

And now for something completely different here is the D1500-PMP from China that has unusual features and also an awkward style. The D1500 is available at the Popular Chinagrabber online store and costs $75 - which is a good price taking in consideration what you get.
As for the details of the D1500-PMP, the device comes with 8GB of intenal memory, a 3.6-inch screen with 400×240 as the resolution, supports WMA, MP3 and WAV audio files, and RM, RMVB, and AVI video files. On top of the FM tuner, the PMP also works as an eBook reader and has an audio recorder. But the best part stays for last, and I’m talking about the support for NES, SNES and GBA games.

T56 is the codename of the new portable media player announced by Teclast, which is suppose to be released in the near future (a couple of weeks). The Chinese MP4 player doesn’t have a price tag yet, but it will most probably be lower than its competitors because that’s just how the Chinese manufacturers work.
The Teclast T56 sports a 5-inch screen and supports videos at 1080p which is pretty good, but you’ll need to use the HDMI output to take advantage of all the quality provided. It looks like MSI is not all about netbooks and laptops! The company has a 3-inch PMP ready to introduce to everyone. The MT-V656 is the device in question and it will offer you a 3-inch display (most likely finger friendly but unconfirmed so far), a silver casing, video output, FM tuner, voice recording capabilities, various media files support, 4GB of storage space upgradeable via memory card and support for gaming. The device will be available for just $42 which is a very affordable price but we have no idea when MSI will actually make it available. While Yinlip probably isn’t the most well known of gadget manufacturers, they deserve to be upon seeing their offerings. like the one above, their latest PMP, the Projector MP5.
This device is somewhat unique in that is has the ability to project an 80″ image using its built in projector. Couple that with its 3.5″ screen and ability to play 64 bit games and you have yourself a winner.
Unfortunately, the chance of us ever seeing this hit stores outside of China remains slim to none. Perhaps a domestic manufacturer will pick up on the technology. Please?
