One of the underrated features of the Blackberry Smartphones today has to be their video capturing capability. Similar to most camera phones in the market today, the Blackberry series can likewise be used proficiently to capture and upload videos. Perhaps a new software in the RealPlayer SP can make things easier, just in case the real issue is concerning the software that Blackberry owners use today.

RealPlayer SP automatically converts video for playback on the powerful media player that comes on BlackBerry smartphones, delivering clear and vibrant video with great sound quality. And with microSD cards that currently support up to 16 GB per card, customers can easily expand storage to carry more videos wherever they go.

The RealPlayer SP Beta is available for free to download at the RealPlayer website. Support for h.264 video conversion, DVD playback, and DVD burning is available to those customers who upgrade to RealPlayer Plus SP for $39.99.

Samsung Omnia II official

If you were bummed about the Samsung Jet’s US availability you have no worries because the almost identical looking Omnia II (pictured above) was just announced. This handset will be the successor to the Omnia and will feature specs identical to what was leaked earlier this month.

Samsung’s Omnia II will feature a 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen with resistive touch, Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional with Samsung’s TouchWiz 2.0 UI, the ability to playback and record 480p video, 7.2Mbps HSDPA, Wi-Fi and up to 48GB of storage.

Now considering Samsung’s original Omnia was on Verizon I think it’s safe to assume the Omnia II will also make its way to the carrier at some point in the near future.

Boasting a 13.9mm-thickness, the 3G Touch Watch Phone delivers functions of a cell phone on a small size device like a watch. In particular, it supports 7.2Mbps HSDPA(High Speed Downlink Packet Access) network as well as video telephony with a built-in camera.
