If you were bummed about the Samsung Jet’s US availability you have no worries because the almost identical looking Omnia II (pictured above) was just announced. This handset will be the successor to the Omnia and will feature specs identical to what was leaked earlier this month.
Samsung’s Omnia II will feature a 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen with resistive touch, Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional with Samsung’s TouchWiz 2.0 UI, the ability to playback and record 480p video, 7.2Mbps HSDPA, Wi-Fi and up to 48GB of storage.
Now considering Samsung’s original Omnia was on Verizon I think it’s safe to assume the Omnia II will also make its way to the carrier at some point in the near future.
