The success of any app depends on how much and how often it is downloaded. Now if within two weeks you find that your app has been downloaded 100,000 times, you know you have a gem of an app approved by iPhone owners.

Two weeks ago as posted by Chris, the Pizza Hut iPhone app was released. But no one ever thought it would be as hot as the pizza you would order. Can you imagine an app downloaded over 100,000 in that span?

This is proof that with the right strategy for the right market, you can really cover a larger area and serve your market better. And the app is not just about ordering pizza. The Pizza Hut iPhone app also comes with a slew of entertainment add-ons like a “Virtual Fridge” where you can get special coupons to add to you order and a game called “Pizza Hut Racer” which should keep you company while waiting for your pizza to be delivered.

In case you wanted to be able to order pizza straight from your iPhone well then that’s now possible with Pizza Hut’s iPhone application. And the application is not as boring as you’d expect it to be. The app takes advantage of some iPhone features like the accelerometer and the multitouch display. As you can easily see in the video above, you can shake and tilt the phone, pinch the screen and zoom in and out in order to customize your order. Whether you order pizza, pasta or wings, you’ll have fun doing it. And there’s even a simple racing game included. Will that Hut Racer make you crave for more Pizza Hut every day?
