All The Latest Cell Phone, Gadget and Tech News

Sure, we’ve seen pictures of the Motorola Sholes before but they have all been blurry, too small, or just downright unpleasent to look at.

Today, BGR has gotten their hands on the above picture of the device and for once you can actually see all of its features. Of course, there isn’t much we don’t already know; it’s a slider, it’s shipping for Verizon Wireless and it runs Android.

We’ll keep you updated regarding a release date.

Not too long ago Sony Ericsson gave us the first look at their Jalou fashion minded handset. At the time, the device didn’t look half bad considering it was all glamored up for the press images.

Today however, the same handset has found its way through the FCC from which the above picture comes, and I must say, what were the designers thinking? I mean, I could understand the fashion concious consumer going for the Dolce&Gabbana Jalou just because of the branding, but the oddly shaped device pictured above? Not so much.

Way back in June we showed you a blurry picture of what was supposedly Dell’s debut smartphone. Today, the guys over at BGR, have given us another look at the phone and if you’ve been paying attention, you’ll know these pictures look exactly like said blurry picture.

Additionally, we have included a list of reportedly leaked details regarding Dell’s smartphone:

  • Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE class 12
  • Size: 68.6cc
  • 103g grams weight
  • Dimensions: 58 x 122 x 11.7mm
  • Display: 3.5″ nHD 640×360 LCD, 18-bit, 262K colors
  • OTA capable
  • Microsoft Exchange support
  • Google, AIM, Yahoo and MSN IM support
  • 3 megapixel auto-focus, flash, 8x digital zoom camera with 30fps video shooting mode, built in photo editor
  • USB 2.0, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR
  • A-GPS
  • On-screen QWERTY keyboard, hardwriting recognition, multi touch UI
  • MicroSD slot

Unfortunately we still don’t have word on a release date but considering it is supposed to launch in China, the chances of us seeing a worldwide release remain slim.

Microsoft has today updated their twitter account with the first real shots of a Microsoft retail store under construction. As you can see, it’s not very spectacular, but what is great is the fact that these retail stores are actually coming sooner rather than later.

And, if you look closely, you’ll see that the picture gives us a hint as to what Microsoft’s retail stores will specialize in; Windows 7, Xbox 360, Bing, Microsoft Office and Zune. Perhaps we will see some Windows Mobile touting handsets on sale at these locations as well.

Yesterday we gave you a glimpse at a render of Motorola’s Android powered Shules but today we actually have a live shot of the device, pictured above.

It’s a bit blurry but from what you can make out you’ll notice that the phone looks a bit rough around the edges and that’s because it is a pre-production model so expect a lot to change before it hits any carriers. Spec wise, we’re still lookin’ at a 3.7-inch screen, QWERTY keyboard, 5MP camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, etc.

HTC Click up close and personal

Earlier today we showed you the HTC Click, a handset for those wanting to get a taste of Android without breaking the bank. You could certainly make out a few features of the phone in the previous picture, but it was nothing special.

Now, however, another picture of the device has appeared on a Vietnamese message board in full resolution clearing showing off the front of the phone. As you can see, there are some Android-esque buttons on the front so it’s almost definite this thing will in fact ship with Android.

When and at what price point remains a mystery.

New Mac Mini Pictures Leak

Is this the new Mac Mini in the picture here? We’ve heard various rumors and we’ve seen previous “leaked” pictures of the new expected mini desktop. According to this not-so-blurry image, the new Mini will bring you five USB ports, FireWire 800, Mini DisplayPort and Mini DVI. We have no idea if this is the actual Mini in the leaked picture here and we don’t know when the Mac Mini will actually be announced. Apple doesn’t seem in a hurry to launch it yet.

  • The web has been filled with iPhone nano news for the last couple of weeks. Today we have pictures which should convince us that the phone actually exists. Or they’re pretty darn good photoshopped images. One thing is missing though. Where’s the “nano” written on that back of the phone?

On the other hand why would anyone knock-off a product that doesn’t exist yet? What do you think? Does Apple plan to release a cheaper, smaller iPhone? How come no one from Apple isn’t replying to all this?
