According to some leaked information, Verizon Wireless has new RIM phones scheduled to be released soon. These BlackBerry new phones are: Tour, Pearl Flip, Atlas and Storm 2. And here’s what they will we can expect from them:

  • all those BlackBerry handsets launched after the Tour will have WiFi
  • the Storm 2 will not have a SurePress-like panel but rather a traditional capacitive touchscreen display, which is totally weird
  • the Atlas will be launched together with the Tour with only the first coming with WiFi support.
  • the Pearl Flip 8230 will be launched in May/June
  • the Pearl Flip 8230 will feature: EV-DO Rev. 0, 2.0 megapixel camera, 3.5 ounces, flash 128 MB, RAM 64 MB, SD card - expandable to 16GB, usage/wtandby - 220 min. / 216 hrs.

Got questions? Yeah, we do too…

A new BlackBerry has been launched by Alltel. The carrier has added RIM’s BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8320 to its lineup. The phone will be yours for just $79.99 after a $70 mail-in rebate as long as you sign-up for a new 2-year contract. And the contract has to be one of Alltel’s Smart Choice Packs which start at $69.99 per month in order to get that discounted price. The All Smart Choice Packs plans come with unlimited data which fit perfectly with BlackBerry users. Alltel will have the Pearl Flip 8320 in shop in early May in all its markets so keep checking your local representative if you’re waiting to get your hands on this Berry.

If the 8220 Pearl Flip is the smartphone you’d buy this week in Canada, then go look the Pearl Flip up. The BlackBerry 8220 is going to be shipped to Rogers stores this Wednesday, October 29th. You will get if for $49.99 if you choose a three year contract bundled with a voice and data combo of $35.

We’re not sure if Wednesday is the actual public release day, but if that won’t happen, then check the stores in the following days. The Flip will be there waiting.

A few days ago we rumored about the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 price which was suppose to be $200 with a 1-year contract, and 7 days later we have a new rumor about the cellphone.

The unusual Blackberry that comes in a flip-mode has arrived in stores at the US, at least according to BlackBerry Reporter that was able to get a photo of the action. In this case it was a red Pearl Flip 8220, but there will also be a silver version.

If you want to take a peek at the red Blacberry Pearl Flip 8220, just head over to a T-Mobile Store and ask for more information.
