It’s been a while since we’ve heard of Sony Ericsson’s XPERIA X2, but today the company has come forth and officially announced the device.

The XPERIA X2 will hit selected markted in Q4 2009 running Windows Mobile 6.5 and feature a built-in 8.1 megapixel camera, a 4GB micro SD memory card and 13 pre-loaded panels, which is basically Sony Ericsson’s version of an app, as you can see above.

According to the Xperiancers blog, the company is currently in the processor of deciding which markets and carriers the handset is to be released on which we will hear more about in the coming weeks.

Offering direct access to your music playlists and tracks, navigation tools and easy to use call-handling, this panel will makes your driving convenient and entertaining wherever the road takes you.
