We might find many laptops packing a fingerprint scanner, but there aren’t many in the mobile realm that could boast of this feature. Still, it is not the most sought after feature in a cell phone like GPS or 3G support (which the Lenovo P960 clearly lacks with dual-band GSM and GPRS support). The P960 (not to be confused with the Samsung SGH-P960) has a big enough 2.8-inch touchscreen display and a passable 1.3 megapixel camera, but there are other features that could come in handy if you are a government agent or a mistrustful husband. Apart from the fingerprint scanner, the P960 also has a “VIP recording” feature that will record calls automatically from designated numbers for later perusal and unbound merriment. This is where the details stop including that much needed release date and pricing info, but we will let you in on it as soon as we know.

Samsung Electronics has announced the launch of its P960 Phone in Korea. Available in Onyx Black color, the P960 cell phone supports 2G Network GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 and 3G Network HSDPA 2100. The company has already released P910 and P920 in Italy. The latest phone supports OMA-BCAST and DVB-CBMS. Samsung P960 equips 2.6 inch display.

Announced with the Samsung G810 is the Samsung SGH-P960. The Samsung SGH-P960 is also a slider phone with a mirror finish like many of the other Samsung MWC phones. The device has a 2.6″ TFT QVGA display, 3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth and USB 2.0 connectivity, FM radio, and a full-internet browser. The triband phone supports European 3G capability and has a document viewer. The Samsung SGH-P960 also has DVB-H support with TV-like pictogram.
