We’ve mentioned the LG-KC780 two times before: once when the first pictures surfaced, and twice when more details were found and the phone officially announced.

This will be the third time, and the purpose is to take note that the LG cellphone will soon become available on the UK market thanks to the popular mobile carrier Orange. In case you don’t remember, the LG-KC780 features a 8-megapixel camera, USB 2.0 as the interface to transfer files using wires, or Bluetooth if you want to go wireless.

So, besides Orange which carrier do you think will be the next target for the LG-KC780?

Orange France is ready to do to the iPhone what we’ve all been secretly dreaming about. The French carrier is going to cut the iPhone 3G price to 99 Euro for the holiday season. That’s $126 in US money for the $8GB model. And that’s a 45 Euro price drop from the initial price of the $8GB iPhone.

The 16GB iPhone 3G will also get a price cut although it’s not official yet. It’s rumored that the 16GB model will cost 129 Euro instead of just 199. In US dollars that’s a drop from $253 to $164. The offer will be available from November 13th to January 14th, so if in France, go iPhone!

So AT&T, with the Storm coming, would you consider significant price cuts?

I’ve announced the Bold so many times you shouldn’t even read this one. We might see AT&T pushing the release date along like they did before. Now it’s October 27 according to leaked info. Like I didn’t hear that one before!

AT&T had no problems throwing a welcome Bold party with the main guest missing, so we shouldn’t be surprised by anything the carrier will do concerning the Bold. On the other hand we know that Orange has pulled the Bold for various technical issues. What say you?

In case you decided to keep the old iPhone instead of upgrading it to the 3G iPhone then you probably need this device. The iGPS360 is a GPS dongle which you can attach to your first generation iPhone or iPod touch. As long as they are jailbroken, the dongle will get you GPS support to either of them. The device is available for preorder today and it costs only $75. Hurry to get one, as these things would probably sell like hot GPS cakes.

Dare I say AT&T might be right when they say the Bold isn’t ready for the U.S. market? Hell no! I am sure they are delaying the launch for a certain fruity reason.

But according to a leaked memo, Orange has decided to temporarily pull the Bold off their shelves. It looks like there are some issues with the device. The whole crisis might be solved in a few weeks as RIM will provide solutions for the undisclosed issues.

What issues?

Orange France has admitted that it has tampered with iPhone 3G speeds. Its excuse is that the decision was taken in order to keep the network as stable as possible. Well I didn’t know the iPhone 3G will make any network unstable. (more…)

Today is the day when customers in 20 more countries have started to purchase the new iPhone 3G and one of them is Poland. Orange is the carrier which brings Apple’s handset in some European countries, including Poland. From what we hear, Polish people aren’t that enthusiastic about the phone.

It appears that Orange has hired fake actors to stand in fake iPhone lines to draw attention to their store and make people buy the new iPhone. I don’t know if this is good marketing here or plain desperation. After all not everyone will want Apple’s phones, no matter what version. And I don’t know if a fake line would make me buy a phone. I’d appreciate good prices and fair plans.

Speaking about plans, we have no idea what iPhone plans Orange Poland has. The carrier failed to advertise them on their site. What’s the matter Orange? Are they too high?

On comparison, Orange Poland’s competitor Era doesn’t have any lines in front of the stores. And they have their offers available for the public. Era’s cheapest plan is $43 per month and it includes 150 minutes, 450 SMS messages and 500MB of data while the most expensive plan is at $156 per month and it includes 800 minutes, 2,400 message and 5GB of data. Well… who needs 2,400 messages?

We are just two days away from the official BlackBerry Bold launch in the UK. The first carrier ready to deliver it is Orange UK and it will launch the Bold on August 16th.

Business users are rumored to get the Bold for free with some sort of agreement which is around 45GBP or $90 per month for 18 months. There’s no word on customer agreement yet but in two days’ time you’ll find all that info for yourself.

How do you like the new XDA Ignito from O2? Does it look familiar to you in any way? If you know a thing or two about cell phones you will recognize the HTC Touch Diamond which was spotted in O2’s catalogues for August.

The XDA Ignito is not a new handset. Not at all! It’s the same HTC Touch Diamond which got rebranded especially for O2. However that’s quite a move bringing in the Touch Diamond after launching the iPhone in July. Besides O2, Orange, Vodafone and T-Mobile are also selling the Diamond. Only UK’s 3 doesn’t have it yet! But maybe they want to be special like that and not get the Diamond yet.

Despite the fact we are talking more about 3G iPhone shortages around the world, it would appear that Orange has just struck a deal with Apple and they will bring the iPhone to the UK. For now only O2, another UK carrier, has the new iPhone for the Brits but Orange is closing in soon. They are said to have the iPhone on display this October.

Here’s another mini-notebook, or netbook, or webbook. No matter how we end up calling them they are still the same thing. Very small portable PCs from various companies that try to make some money in the Eee style. Carphone Warehouse has a webbook deal for you.

This one is a 10.2 computer made by Elonex Technology, a Chinese company. You will get it fro about $440 straight up or with a 2 year 3GB mobile broadband agreement from Orange UK. In this latter case you would end up paying $50 per month for everything.

Like everyone else you probably want an unlocked, possible jailbroken 3G iPhone don’t you? And for the subsidized price right? Well you can either wait for iPhone Dev Team’s Pwnage Tool 2.0 to be released to manually hack your iPhone or you can head to France and order a prepaid 3G iPhone. Sure the price isn’t that great but at least you won’t be tied to a 2 year agreement.

July 11th is slowly getting here. Apple is preparing the official launch for 22 countries and carriers around the world will be trying to make the most of those first days. Orange has just announced their pricing offer for France. The iPhone will be available starting July 17th in France for both personal and business usage.

Orange has about 66% 3G coverage in France so I guess they can afford to do as they please when it comes to iPhone pricing and plans. The 8GB iPhone will cost 149 Euro or about $233 and the 16GB version will cost 199 Euro or about $313. Just a few dollars more than what AT&T has to offer.

As for plans you will be able to choose from the “Orange for iPhone” plans (check the picture above), or the Origami Star (from 3 hours), First or Jet plans. Should you want other plans, excepting time-cutoff and pay-as-you-go plans, the 8Gb iPhone will come to 199 euro while the 16Gb model will be 249 euro.

If you’re thinking about going over to the UK for getting that Asus G70, you should stop at Glastonbury to check their festival. And since you’re already there, why not stop to give that huge eco-friendly charger, that Orange set up a go.

That’s right folks, that’s a tent right there. It will charge up to 100 cell phones an hour and it will store any unused energy. The power comes straight from the sun through some solar panels. And if there’s wind, well the tent is going to milk that wind too for some electricity. That only goes to prove that if you put your mind to it you can think alternatively and find simple solutions to basic needs.

We’re not going to give up phones to save Earth are we? And while Samsung is making cell phones out of corn, other manufacturers should come up with eco-friendly power sources for our handset. Oh and if it happens to rain the tent also works as a full time Orange tent!

Features are bare because the OT-E227 boasts basic usability which makes it perfect for both the children and the elderly. It comes with 1.5 TFT touch screen, 10 hours of talk time and 325 hours of standby time. It’s available in three colors — metallic rose, glossy black and fuchsia with flower pattern.

Not too fond of the SureType-esque, 20-key, half-QWERTY keypad? Then go to the UK and get Orange UK’s Numeric variant to the HTC Touch Smartphone. Reports have emerged regarding the launch of Orange UK’s 16-key variant of the HTC Touch Dual with a numeric-only keypad.

Sources aren’t sure yet where Orange UK is going with this since the HTC Touch has no clear competitor as of the moment. However, some are speculating that with the numeric keypad, it might just be aiming at the Nokia N81 that Orange refuses to sell.

For some quick news, reports have surfaced that France Telecom has won the bid for marketing the iPhone in France. After Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom, France is the next country due to amaze its citizens with Apple’s iPhone.

The French company will market the handset through its wireless unit Orange. The iPhone will go on sale in France as well as in Germany and the UK this November.
